RECAP: The Rainers recorded 17 hits, but left 12 men on base as Tacoma lost to Reno 5-6 on
Sunday night. All 9 players in the starting lineup recored at least 1 hit, while 5 players recorded at
least 2 hits. 2B Ty Kelly (4x5) led the team with 4 hits, while C Brandon Bantz (3x5), LF Stefen
Romero (2x5, 2 R, 2B), 3B Nate Tenbrink (2x4, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI, SB) and SS Robert Andino (2x3,
3B, RBI) each recorded multi-hit contests. Tenbrink hit his 11th home run of the season with a 2out, 3-run blast in the 3rd inning that at the time gave the Rainiers a 4-3 lead. It was also his 4th

0-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER, 3.0 IP). Pryor has not allowed a hit, while walking 1 and striking out 1 in 2.0 innings. He also made a rehab start
on July 16 with Short-A Everett, allowing 3 runs (2 ER) on 3 hits with 1 strikeout and 1 balk before being removed after reaching his pitch
limit. Pryor was placed on the 15-day DL with a tear in his right latissimus dorsi muscle on April 15. Pryor appeared in 7 of Seattles first 14
games this season. He did not allow a run in 7.1 innings while striking out 7 and allowing just 3 hits and 1 walk.
OF NOTE: INF/OF Nate Tenbrink currently has an 8-game hit streak, batting .379 (11x29) with 9 runs scored, 1 double, 4 home runs, 9
RBI, 6 walks and 1 stolen base. OF Carlos Peguero is the second Rainiers player to collect 6 hits in a game this season (7/26 at Reno),
and the first since OF Abraham Almonte went 6-for-6 at Colorado Springs on May 29. Prior to Almonte, Tacoma had not had a player
collect at least 6 hits in a single game since Jerry Owens on August, 29, 2009. The Rainiers have now had 5 different players collect at
least 5 hits in a single game this season (Carlos Triunfel, Nick Franklin, Abraham Almonte, Dustin Ackley, Carlos Peguero). The rest
of the league combined has had just 10 players turn in five-hit efforts in 2013. Before Tacomas current campaign, the Rainiers had not
featured two players with five-hit games since their 2007 season (Adam Jones and Wladimir Balentien). OF Abraham Almonte has hit
safely in 48 of 62 games (w/AB) with the Rainiers. He leads the team with a .312 (69x221) batting average since making his Triple-A debut
on May 13. After tossing one scoreless inning on Monday night, RH Stephen Pryor has not allowed a run through 19 career appearances
(23.0 IP) with the Rainiers since his Triple-A debut on May 8, 2012. LHP James Paxton recorded a season-high 11 strikeouts on June 22
vs. Fresno. It marked his 9th career start recording at least 10 strikeouts (last: 11, 5/13/13 at New Orleans). RHP Taijuan Walker tossed
14.0 scoreless innings over his first 3 AAA starts, before allowing a solo home run in the 5th inning on July 7 at Salt Lake. Overall he is 2-0
with a 2.42 ERA (7 ER, 26.0 IP) in 5 starts with Tacoma. He has limited opponents to a .208 (20x96) average, while walking 10 and striking
out 29. Walker is currently the youngest player in the PCL this season and 2nd-youngest in Triple-A. He made his Triple-A debut vs.
Fresno on June 25 at Cheney Stadium (W, 6.0,3,0,0,2,4). Walker is the youngest Rainiers pitcher to make his Triple-A debut since a 19year-old Felix Hernandez on April 8, 2005 at Fresno.
TRIPLE-A ALL-STAR GAME RECAP: Indianapolis Indians catcher Tony Sanchez's 2nd-inning 3-run blast powered the visiting
International League to a 4-3 victory over the Pacific Coast League on Wednesday at the 2013 Triple-A All-Star Game, hosted by the Reno
Aces. Rainiers outfielder Carlos Peguero walked in his only plate appearance, while finishing the game in right field. LH Brian Moran
(1.0,1,0,0,0,2) allowed 1 hit and struck out 2 in a scoreless 5th inning.

Sunday. 2B Jack Marder (1x4, R), RF James Jones (1x2), 3B Ramon Morla (1x4, RBI), DH JiMan Choi (1x3, RBI, BB), 1B Daniel Paolini (1x4) and SS Gabriel Noriega (1x3, BB) each
recorded 1 of the Generals 6 hits. Starter Jimmy Gillheeney (3.0,5,5,5,5,4,2HR) recorded his 5th
loss of the season, allowing 5 run on 5 hits in 5.0 innings. RH Forrest Snow (4.0,1,2,2,2,4,HR)

allowed only 5 earned runs over his last 28 relief appearances. During this stretch he is 0-1 with 7

2.57. Smith has struck out at least 1 batter in 30 of 34 games, including recording 18 strikeouts over

SANCHEZ NAMED PITCHER OF THE WEEK: RH Victor Sanchez was named Midwest League Player of the Week, 5 days after he
tossed the 7th 9-inning no-hitter in franchise history. Sanchez, 18, no-hit the Lansing Lugnuts in Clinton's 1-0 win on Wednesday night at
Ashford University Field. In the dominant performance against Lansing, Sanchez did not walk a batter and struck out a season-high 8. He
hit a batter in the first inning then retired 20 straight before a pair of errors allowed 2 baserunners in the 8th. In 77 years of baseball in
Clinton, it marks the 22nd time a pitcher has tossed a no-hitter. Sanchez is the youngest to accomplish the feat. It is the 2nd such honor for
a LumberKings player this year; Jabari Henry took home the award in early May.

RECAP: Starter Steven Ewing and relievers RH Aaron Brooks and RH Jose Valdivia combined on a 4-hit shutout as Everett defeated
Hillboro 6-0 on Sunday. Ewing (6.2,4,0,0,0,5) earned his 1st win of the season, allwing only 4 hit and striking out 5 in 6.2 innings. Brooks
(1.1,0,0,0,0,0) and Valdivia (1.0,0,0,0,0,2) combined to retire the final 7 batters in order to secure the win. LF Chantz Mack (2x4, R, 2B),
DH Reggie Lawson (2x4, 2 R, 2 2B, 3 RBI) and 2B Bryan Brito (2x4) each recorded 2 of the teams 11 hits. SS Jack Reinheimer hit his
1st career home run with a 2-out, 2-run blast in the 3rd inning.
