REUIO I ETERITYBY W. ROBERTSO ICOLLPREFACETHE literature on Reunion in Eternity, to whichthis little book is a humble contribution, is exceedingly meagre. There is perhaps not much publicinstruction on the subject, yet the theme has neverdrawn so many solicitous hearts as it draws to-day.There are many who think of little else. Theycount the hours and the days, the down-sittingsand the uprisings, that are between them and thegreat restoration. The matter of this book is neither systematic norcontroversial, and I may state in a few words themain conclusions. They are :1. That faithful souls pass in dying to theimmediate presence of Jesus Christ.2. That they are, as Bishop Gore says, cleansedand enlightened and perfected.3. That they are carried into the heart of theirdesire in immediate reunion with theirbeloved who have gone before.viii Reunion in Eternity4. That they wait in peace for the Second Advent, the Resurrection, the Judgment.
