The plan is to rob a man. This is where Jason’s friendship with Brutus has led. This is what his life has come to as Barabbas’s middle man. But to back out of the plan that Barabbas has masterminded is as good as being dead.

Jason knows in his heart that robbing the lone traveler is not a good idea, and in fact the robbery leads to murder. Soon Brutus and Jason are arrested, tried, and sentenced to die on a cross for their crimes. At the same time, Jesus, the King of the Jews, is being crucified; his cross is placed between Brutus and Jason. The crowd roars, “Crucify him!” And in his last moments of life, Jason comes to realizes who Jesus really is.

Telling the crucifixion story from an unusual viewpoint, this novel shines a light on motive and intent of the heart. It shows the amazing grace, mercy, and love Jesus has for each of us and makes clear how much He desires us to come to Him freely.
