REHAB ASSIGNMENT

Franklin Gutierrez
began his third rehabilitation assignment with Tacoma on July 19. He went 0-for-4 yesterday. Overall he is batting .218 (29x133) with 19 runsscored, 9 doubles, 3 home runs, 20 RBI, 10 walks and 2 stolen bases in 32 games with AAA Tacoma. Gutierrez was placed on the 15-day DL on June 25 with a strained right hamstring. Heappeared in 2 games (June 22-23) after being activated from the disabled list on June 22. Gutierrezwas on the disabled list from April 23-June 21 with the same injury (right hamstring strain).Gutierrez was batting .267 (15x60) with 8 runs scored, 4 doubles, 5 home runs (3 leadoff HR) and11 RBI in 18 games (15 GS in CF) this season for Seattle. This is the 6th trip to the DL for Gutierrezsince the start of the 2011 season. RH
Stephen Pryor 
began his first rehab assignment on July 19.In 4 appearances with Tacoma he is 0-0 with a 15.00 ERA (5 ER, 3.0 IP). He also made a rehabstart on July 16 with Short-A Everett, allowing 3 runs (2 ER) on 3 hits with 1 strikeout and 1 balkbefore being removed after reaching his pitch limit. Pryor was placed on the 15-day DL with a tearin his right latissimus dorsi muscle on April 15. Pryor appeared in 7 of Seattle’s first 14 games thisseason. He did not allow a run in 7.1 innings while striking out 7 and allowing just 3 hits and 1 walk.

tossed 14.0 scoreless innings over his first 3 AAA starts, before allowing a solo home run in the 5th inningon July 7 at Salt Lake. Overall he is 2-1 with a 3.09 ERA (11 ER, 32.0 IP) in 6 starts with Tacoma. He has limited opponents to a .234(29x121) average, while walking 12 and striking out 33.
