A fifteen-minute morning and afternoon break will be taken at suitably convenient times. Additional breaks may be taken as long as the contact time between instructors and students in the class equals 9.5 hours (for example, instructors may conduct a working lunch at the request of students). The start time for day 2 is scheduled for 8:00 AM. However, this can be adjusted based on agreement between all the students. Arrangements for lunch and food for breaks will be arranged by the Meeting Planner or Training Coordinator at BSI. However, it is the responsibility of the instructor to ensure the meal and break arrangements are communicated to the students at the beginning of the course. Note: the timeline for the course is intended to meet clause 5.1 of RABQSA document Training Course Certification Criteria, RABQSA T3.OHSMS Auditor Training, which states that the total course time devoted to direct instruction and to assigned team and individual activities shall be at least 36 hours plus an additional two hours for examination, and ISO 19011:2002 Table 1, which lists 40 hours of training as appropriate for auditors conducting certification or similar audits.
