is approximately 65km east of Manila. It is the biggest of the 9 barangays in Pililla, in terms of population. It is one of the four barangays which areoutside the poblacion, and is about 8km from the town proper of Pililla.The residents of Barangay Quisao are a cross-section of professionals, overseas workers,office employees, factory workers, farmers and fishermen. With such population mix, theeconomic status in the barangay ranges from lower to upper class, with 15% in the upper class, 40% in the middle class and 45% in the lower class.The mode of communication in the community is through the PLDT wireless PhoneSystem, mobile phones and via the Computer/Internet. Public transport is through the all-too-familiar jeepneys and tricycles.While there are also a number of unemployed residents and out-of-school youth. Theefforts of the Sangguniang Baranagay are geared towards economic self-sufficiency. Oneof its projects, in close coordination with the Sangguniang Kabataan is to provide skillstraining for out-of-school youth to better prepare them for a full-time job or to ventureinto their own businesses. The project, aptly dubbed as YOUTH EMPOWERMENTTHRU LITERACY AND TECHNOLOGICAL SKILLS (or YELTS), is a collaboration of the QUIASO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, TECHNICAL EDUCATION SKILL ANDDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (TESDA) and the SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY &SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN OF QUISAO. Initially, the project is offeringWELDING, PC (COMPUTER) OPERATION and ACCREDITATION ANDEQUIVALENCY (Basic Literacy Program).In terms of Medical Care, the nearest hospital is in the town proper of Pililla, called thePililla Medicare Hospital and handles simple and emergency cases. Other complicatedcases are brought to Tanay, Rizal where there are number of private specialty clinics andhospitals.Rizal Provincial Hospital, which was formerly in Pasig, Metro Manila, was transferred toMorong, Rizal and has since benefitted more patients in this easternmost side of Rizaland other nearby provinces. Morong is abour 18 to 29km from Quisao.
