What location services are available with the Pre?
The Pre is compatible with Sprint Mobile Locator and Business Mobility Framework (BMF).
Are there special requirements for first use/set up?

Yes. First Use configures the phone for the customer, walks them through creating a Palm profile,
and introduces them to some basic features.
A Palm profile is important because all webOS updates are delivered over the air. By creating a
Palm profile, Palm is able to find the device to send out the latest update and back up information
that is not saved elsewhere.
There is a second portion to the device set up that offers a short tutorial on how to use the Palm
Pre. The term “Setup” is the preferred customer-facing term for First Use.
Note: If customers do not create a Palm profile, they cannot leave First Use/Setup, and cannot use
the device. The Palm profile ensures that customers have access to the latest software updates,
which will allow them to receive the latest updates.
What happens if the customer does not accept the Google Mobile Terms of Service?
If the user does not accept Google Mobile Terms of Service during setup, GPS services (Sprint
Mobile Locator) will not function on the device. If the customer did not accept the Google Mobile
Terms of Service and tries to use the GPS services, he or she will be directed back to the Google
Mobile Terms of Services sign in page.

Yes! Users may synchronize to MULTIPLE exchange accounts on their Pre.

If I lose my Pre, can I send a “kill pill” or do a “remote wipe” to it?

Yes. Users can simply log onto their Palm Profile webpage and initiate a ‘remote erase’ command
to their Pre.
Can I do an Over the Air backup of my data?

Palm services back up device preferences, account settings and applications. Account data is not
backed up because your information is already backed up on your particular service’s server. And
restoring your information is simple. Just enter your profile information on the new/reset device.
How is Palm Synergy a benefit to me and my business?

Layered Calendars use SynergyTM to organize your day so you can be more efficient with your time.
It allows you to see both work and personal calendars in separate or combined views - you will
never miss an appointment or an opportunity.
I travel a lot for my business. Does the Pre have GPS and WiFi ?
Yes! In addition to EV-DO Rev A capability, the Pre provides these location and additional connectivity
options for business people on the road.
How do Activity Cards work?

Unparalleled multi-tasking experience allows you to keep many activity cards open at one. Flip
from e-mail, to maps, to the web, and back again. Work the way you want to work and make the
best use of your time.
How does the Universal Search feature work for a business?

Simply start typing to begin searching your contacts, applications, Google, or even Wikipedia.

What other forms of messaging are there besides email?

Combined messaging takes advantage of other popular IM services such as G-talk and AOL. It
