Aligning with YHWHs Appointed Times

Introduction When making the conscious decision to live according to the will of our Creator, I never knew it would lead to such a constant pursuit in seeking His great pleasure. I would have never imagined how much deceit we all have been buried in. Upon coming out of Babylon, leaving the Christian Church system, I remember thinking things like, So we are supposed to keep the Law and Well, the Jews keep the Law, we must do like them, not realizing that Babylon is this whole entire world system of things, and that I was climbing out of one pit just to jump into another. All of the worlds religions are just part of the Babylonian system. Mans laws, commands, and traditions are in every religion mixed in with the truth of YHWH, so it is impossible to be able to look at any man, or religion, in order to see whos doing it right. Upon realizing that truth, this walk became even more interesting. I now realize that we have to completely rely on our Fathers Word with much prayer in every aspect, and not on what man does, or what some religion or sect teaches, or even on what we ourselves believe in our fleshly minds. Everything that we believe must be placed back on the table and re-examined, with an unbiased eye, in all humility. We must always be ready to accept correction and make necessary changes in our beliefs if we want to please our Father in the Shamayim (Heavens). I want to stress that though I am sharing with you what I believe according to the studies that I have done on the subjects of YHWHs clock, calendar, and appointed times, I am in no way, shape, or form trying to push some doctrine on anyone. Nor do I have any desire whatsoever to divide from a brother or sister who does not agree with the information presented in this study. I will also choose to remain in humility, knowing that all men are subject to error, and am willing to make changes to my belief in the future if additional information is found. I choose not to just settle into some doctrine as if I am infallible, or because I have become comfortable with the tradition I have acquired. I know that some of my beloved brothers and sisters will not agree with this information, nor will some give it a sincere look without preconceived notions. To them I would just like to say that I love you anyway and refuse to divide over this matter. You are declared right by your belief, not mine. And I am declared right by my belief, and not yours. If we maintain that attitude and continue to uphold a true love for one another in shalom, we will eventually (without doubt) believe the same things in the same ways in all matters. We are all in this together, and need to begin to help each other in our search of the Reign of YHWH, and not tear one another apart. So, whether or not you agree with everything in this study, I pray that it is edifying in some way. May YHWH favor and prosper you in your pursuit of doing His great pleasure in the Name of our Messiah!

Yashral: YHWHs Sinful Nation The Torah of YHWH is perfect, bringing back the being; The witness of YHWH is trustworthy, making wise the simple; The orders of YHWH are straight, rejoicing the heart; The command of YHWH is clear, enlightening the eyes; The fear of YHWH is clean, standing forever; The right-rulings of YHWH are true, they are righteous altogether, More desirable than gold, than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honey comb. Also, Your servant is warned by them, in guarding them there is great reward. Tehillim 19:7-11 YHWHs living Word is above all. He has commanded His set apart nation (Yashral/Israel) to be doers of His Word. It is what gives us life. It is sufficient. There are no additional requirements needed or anything in His Word that needs to be excluded. Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of YHWH your Elohim which I am commanding you. Debarim 4:2 However, keeping the Word of YHWH has not been the case with Yashral. As a whole they have not kept YHWHs Word and have added many other practices to His set apart way of living. Yashral has always walked in error, practicing traditions and abominable worship of the nations around them. And YHWH said to Shemuel, Listen to the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from reigning over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Mitsrayim, even to this day forsaking Me and serving other mighty ones so they are doing to you too. 1 Shemuel 8:7-8 Yashral has been captive to many nations because of all the whoring they have done with the mighty ones of the nations. Since Egyptian captivity, all throughout the various times of independence and captivity, even up until this day, wicked practices of the nations can be found amongst the children of Yashral in all of the places where they have been scattered. Please read all of Yehezqel 23 for a complete summary of the whoring of Yashral and Yahudah. Notice their whorings go all the way back to the time of their sojourning in Egypt and continued throughout history until the great judgment. There has never been a time in history that Yashral as a whole has walked in the ways of YHWH in righteousness. Only a remnant of the people has walked righteously in the eyes of YHWH since the beginning. These are declared right by their belief and are never cut off from YHWHs set apart nation. The list of the righteous patriarchs include: Hebel, Hanok, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Yitshaq, Yaacob, Yoseph, Mosheh, and Rahab. Please read about the cloud of witnesses in Ibrim 11:1 12:2.

Yashrals History Regarding the Sabbaths, New Months, and Festivals I believe that the observation of the Appointed Times (Sabbaths, New Months, Festivals) of YHWH is an absolute requirement. Our Father calls family meetings and expects us to attend. These are the appointed times of YHWH, set-apart gatherings which you are to proclaim at their appointed times. Wayyiqra 23:4 Let no one therefore judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a festival or a new month or Sabbaths which are a shadow of what is to come but the Body of the Messiah. Colossians 2:16-17 Now lets take a moment to look at Yashrals track record when it comes to how well the nation has guarded YHWHs Appointed Times: For they will forget all My commandments, (even) all that I command them, and they will walk after the Gentiles, and after their uncleanness, and after their shame, and will serve their mighty ones, and these will prove unto them an offence and a tribulation and an affliction and a snare. And many will perish and they will be taken captive, and will fall into the hands of the enemy, because they have forsaken My ordinances and My commandments, and the festivals of My covenant, and My Shabbats, and My kodesh place which I have hallowed for Myself in their midst, and My tabernacle, and My sanctuary, which I have hallowed for Myself in the midst of the land, that I should set MY NAME upon it, and that it should dwell (there) And they will forget all My Torah and all My commandments and all My judgments, and will go astray as to new months, and Shabbats, and festivals, and jubilees, and ordinances. And after this they will turn to Me from amongst the Gentiles with all their heart and with all their soul and with all their strength, and I will gather them from amongst all the Gentiles, and they will seek me, so that I shall be found of them, when they seek me with all their heart and with all their soul. Jubilees 1:9-10, 14-15 And I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, to know that I am YHWH who sets them apart. But the house of Yisrael rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My laws, and they rejected My right-rulings, which, if a man does, he shall live by them. And they greatly profaned My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them. Yehezqel 20:12-13 (Read the whole chapter and see Yashrals repeated sinning ever since they came up out of Egypt.) Stop bringing futile offerings, incense, it is an abomination to Me. New Moons, Sabbaths, the calling of meetings I am unable to bear unrighteousness and assembly. My being hates your New Moons and your appointed times, they are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them. Yeshayahu 1:13-14

I strongly believe that the adversary has gone to great lengths to cause YHWHs people to be out of alignment with YHWHs appointed times. and it speaks words against the Most High, and it wears out the set-apart ones of the Most High, and it intends to change appointed times and law, and they are given into its hand for a time and times and half a time. Daniel 7:25 For the secret of lawlessness is already at work only until he who now restrains comes out of the midst. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 YHWH allowed the knowledge of His Appointed Times to be removed from Yashral because of their constant profanity against His ways of righteousness, and continual pursuit of behaving after the fashion of the nations around them - whoring after their mighty ones. Therefore, see, I am hedging up your way with thorns, and I shall wall her in, so that she does not find her paths And I shall cause all her rejoicing, her festivals, her New Moons, and her Sabbaths, even all her appointed times, to cease, Hoshea 2:6, 11 Though the remnant assemblies always sought the ancient paths with all of their hearts, the majority of Yashral never had the zeal for righteousness that the Father desires us to have. When we consider what is written in the Scriptures, we see examples of YHWHs nation constantly sinning against Him by doing the abominable practices of the nations around them. So as we seek the ancient paths we must remember that if we look to the history of Yashral to find examples of how we should conduct ourselves or how we should perform the tasks required by YHWH, many times we are actually learning about practices that we should not be following. Thus said YHWH, For three transgressions of Yehudah, and for four, I do not turn it back, because they have rejected the Torah of YHWH, and did not guard His laws. And their lies after which their fathers walked lead them astray. Amos 2:4 The children of Yashral have always been subject to the misguidance of the wicked priests. They were in favor of committing the abominations of the nations. This would also include the way the Appointed Times were kept (or not kept). Yahushua Messiah rebukes the Pharisees and Sadducees over the way they discern the signs, or signals, of the appointed times in the heavens. And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and trying Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. And He answering, said to them, When it is evening you say, Fair weather, for the heaven is red, and in the morning, Stormy weather today, for the heaven is red and overcast. You know how to discern the face of the heaven, but you are unable to discern the signs of the times! A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Yonah. And He left them and went away. And His taught ones came to the other side, and had forgotten to take bread. And Yahushua said to them, Mind! And beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Mattityahu 16:1-6 4

With so many snares laid for us, we must be extremely careful not to pick up traditions of men that seem to make sense. We must search YHWHs Word with great diligence and humility, always prepared to be corrected and to make changes in order to be better aligned with His narrow Way. So, let us continue in this study without clinging to the traditions picked up from the doctrines of men and be renewed of the mind.

The Remnant of Yashral Remnant assemblies of YHWH have emerged in the midst of Yashral throughout history, repenting and turning back to YHWH, seeking to do His acceptable desire. We see this all throughout the Tanak. We also see this in the Book of Maccabees, when Yashral began to adopt the traditions of the Greeks. Mattathias, a Levitical priest, and his sons left Yerushalayim because of the abominations that the Yahudim were allowing into the set apart city. In those days Mattathias, the son of John, the son of Simeon, a priest of the descendants of Joarib, removed from Jerusalem, and settled in Modin. He had five sons, John, surnamed Gaddi, Simon, called Thassi, Judas, called Maccabeus, Eleazar, called Avaran, and Jonathan, call Apphus. He saw the impious things that were going on in Judah and Jerusalem 1 Maccabees 2:1-7 While others of their fellow countrymen were giving in to the ways of the heathen, Mattathias, his sons, and others zealous for the Torah rejected the ways of the world and held fast to the Way of YHWH. Then Mattathias answered and said in a loud voice, If All the heathen in the kings dominions listen to him and forsake each of them the religion of his forefathers, and choose to follow his commands instead, yet I and my sons and my brothers will live in accordance with the agreement of our forefathers. Elohim forbid that we should abandon the Law and the ordinances. We will not listen to the message of the king, or depart from our religion to the right hand or to the left. 1 Maccabees 2:19-22 Mattathias, and his sons, Judas, Jonathan, and Simon led the remnant assembly of Yashral in a rebellion against the heathen, recaptured Yerushalayim, re-dedicated the Temple to YHWH, and regained the nations independence. But after Simon and his sons were assassinated the righteousness that had been established was tarnished once again. Two major factions arose out of the Hasmonean dynasty seeking to gain control of the high priesthood. These were the Pharisees and the Sadducees. And these factions are responsible for ushering in and upholding traditions of men inherited from other nations - even abominations of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, and other heathen nations that had been practiced by Yashral in times past. But you, you have turned from the way, you have caused many to stumble in the Torah. You have corrupted the covenant of Lewi, said YHWH of hosts. And I also, I shall make you despised and low before all the people, because you are not guarding My ways, and are showing partiality in the Torah. Have we not all one Father? Did not on El create us? Why do we act treacherously against one another, to profane the covenant of the fathers? Yehudah has acted treacherously, and an abomination has been done in Yisrael and in Yerushalayim, for Yehudah has profaned 5

what is set-apart to YHWH which He had loved and has married the daughter of a foreign mighty one. Malaki 2:8-11 Once again, we see remnant assemblies emerge and remove from the defiled city of Yerushalayim. These were the Assemblies of Elohim, also called the Ebionim (the Poor), the Awanim (the Oppressed), the Qodeshim (the Set Apart Ones), and they also came to be known as the Essenes, among other names. Our Messiah, Yahushua, the sect of the Natsarim, and most of the first century believers in Messiah came from these assemblies. This becomes obvious when comparing content of the Community Rule scroll of the Qumran sect and the Damascus Document of the Damascus sect to the Renewed Covenant (New Testament) writings. It was in these assemblies that the rightful Levitical priesthood, the sons of Tsadok, dwelt. One well-known Levitical High Priest who was a son of Tsadok was Yahuhanan the Immerser. There was in the days of Herodes, the sovereign of Yehudah, a certain priest named Zekaryah, of the division of Abiyah. And his wife was of the daughters of Aharon, and her name was Elisheba. And they were both righteous before Elohim, blamelessly walking in all the commands and righteousnesses of YHWH But the messenger said to him, Do not be afraid, Zekaryah, for your prayer is heard. And your wife Elisheba shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Yohanan. Luke 1:5-6, 13 And Dawid, with Tsadoq of the sons of Elazar, and Ahimelek of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their offices in their service the seventh to Haqqots, the eighth to Abiyah. 1 Dibre haYamim 24: 3, 10 These Assemblies of Elohim strived to preserve the Way of YHWH in opposition to the religious sects of the Pharisees and Sadducees, and in opposition to all of the other sons of disobedience. They studied other inspired writings, such as Enoch and Jubilees, that the religious sects did not include in their canon(Scripture that is acceptable according to their standards). Though our modern day Scriptures (Bibles) are fashioned after this canon, we should also search the Scriptures that our brothers of old searched through in addition to the acceptable texts for further edification in the Word of YHWH. We are todays remnant assembly.

The Leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees During the time of Yahushuas ministry, the Temple was controlled by Pharisees and Sadducees who followed their own traditions instead of the pure Word of YHWH. Our Messiah made it clear not to follow the teachings of these religious sects. Then there came to Yahushua scribes and Pharisees from Yerushalayim saying, Why do Your taught ones transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread. But He answering, said to them, Why do you also transgress the command of Elohim because of your tradition?.. Hypocrites! Yeshayahu rightly prophesied about you, saying, This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men Matthew 15:1-3, 7-9 6

And Yahushua said to them, Mind! And beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread, but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees? Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Mattityahu 16:6, 11-12 Since Messiah Yahushua sternly warns his disciples to beware of the doctrines of the Pharisees and Sadducees, we should first be aware of who the Pharisees and Sadducees are today. The doctrine (leaven) of the Pharisees is the root of todays Rabbinical Judaism. The doctrine (leaven) of the Sadducees is the root of todays Karaite Judaism. I strongly believe that Yahushua made this firm statement knowing that even in this day His disciples would break free from the snare of Christianity, or some other form of falsehood, just to step right into the snares of these doctrines of men. Most people who practice some form of Judaism actually believe that they are keeping the Torah of Moses. So, when someone comes from a non-Torah background and begins to realize that we need to be trained up by the Torah, it is easy to assume that some form of Judaism must consist of the correct practices, not realizing that most Jews partake of the leaven of the Pharisees and/or Sadducees without even knowing it. This information should be kept in mind as we study the topics of YHWHs clock, calendar, and appointed times. From what I have gathered in my studies regarding this topic is that some of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees includes reckoning the beginning of the day in the evening, determining the beginning of a year by a barley report or new moon, and using the moon to determine the months of the year. WARNING!!! The strongholds behind these doctrines possess a high power of influence. Rebuke any and all unclean spirits attempting to cause offense, defensiveness, anger, fear, or any other negative emotion within your being through the flesh in the Name of Yahushua Messiah! Again, I want to express that I am not against anyone, nor am I attempting to persuade anyone to believe like me. I am simply sharing what I believe based on the study of YHWHs Word I have done. Please just receive the information without partiality, and judge for yourself what is true with much prayer and guidance in the Set Apart Spirit of YHWH. Those who truly believe that they are doing the Will of our Father in the Shamayim are my family, even if we do not agree on every matter. So, please be in shalom, and let us continue on Yahushua ate the Passover meal with His disciples on the correct day, which was Passover. And on the first day of Unleavened Bread the taught ones came to Yahushua, saying to Him, Where do You wish us to prepare for You to eat the Passover? And He said, Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, The Teacher says, My time is near. I am to observe the Passover at your house with My taught ones. And the taught ones did as Yahushua had ordered them, and prepared the Passover. And when evening came, He sat down with the twelve. Mattityahu 26:17-20 Passover is the principal day that leads into the Festival of Unleavened Bread. Some believe that Unleavened Bread lasts eight days. This is true when counting Passover. Yahushua did not have His 7

disciples prepare the Passover on the wrong day, nor did the certain man allow such lawlessness to be permitted in his house. Therefore, since it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the stake on the Sabbath for that Sabbath was a high one the Yehudim asked Pilate to have their legs broken, and that they be taken away. Yohanan 19:31 The Yahudim who observed the Appointed Times after the doctrines of the Pharisees and Sadducees observed the Passover on a different day than our Messiah Yahushua. Every year, brothers and sisters express their differences in understanding of the proper times of the beginning of the year and the Festival days. Who was correct then: Yahushua or the Pharisees and Sadducees? This is nothing new under the sun.

Traditions have even developed among us that seem correct but are only supported by our own understandings, and not the Word of YHWH. For example, the doctrine of Yahushua Messiah dying on Passover (because He is our Passover Lamb) and being raised on Firstfruits (because He is our Firstfruits) is not supported by Scripture, nor is it a requirement of the Torah of YHWH, nor is it a fulfillment of a prophecy in regards to the days of the death and resurrection. Do not misunderstand what I am saying. Yahushua is our Passover Lamb. Yahushua is our Firstfruits. But, Yahushua is also our Atoning Sacrifice, but He did not die on the Day of Atonement. He is our Sin Offering, but He did not die repeatedly on all the days that sin offerings were required. There is nothing written stating that Yahushua had to die on Passover and be raised up on Firstfruits. Even though it is a doctrine that makes sense, it is not true according to the Word of YHWH. Doctrines like these lead us to believe things like Firstfruits must be on the Sunday during Unleavened Bread. Scripture does not support that. After the instructions concerning Unleavened Bread are stated, then there are instructions for Firstfruits. It is on the morrow after the Sabbath, and that is the one after Unleavened Bread one week after the traditional view. And if we have Firstfruits wrong, then we also have the Feast of Weeks wrong, since Weeks is determined by when Firstfruits is. Error upon error, and all with good intentions! Where do all these beliefs, that sound so good, come from? And the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which YHWH Elohim had made Bereshith 3:1 These are questions we should be asking ourselves. We must be willing to revisit everything that we have ever learned. Many have become accustomed to doing things a certain way and emotionally attached to certain doctrines and rituals. But if we desire to do the Will of Elohim, then we must reinvestigate all of these matters without partiality to our own beliefs and emotions. Let us start from the beginning

The Light in the Beginning In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim. He was in the beginning with Elohim. All came to be through Him, and without Him not even one came to be that came to be. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. He was the true Light, which enlightens every man, coming into the world. And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favour and truth. Yohanan 1:1-4, 9, 14 Because in Him were created all that are in the heavens and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or rulerships or principalities or authorities all have been created through Him and for Him. Colossians 1:16 Elohim, having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all, through whom also He made the ages, who being the brightness of the esteem and the exact representation of His substance, and sustaining all by the word of His power, having made a cleansing of our sins through Himself, sat down at the right hand of the Greatness on high, Ibrim 1:1-3 From these passages we can conclude that Yahushua Messiah is the Light of YHWH, that He (the Light) was in the beginning with Elohim, and that everything was created through Him (the Light), in Him (the Light), and for Him (the Light). The Light is being stressed for a reason. Now let us go to the beginning: In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth. Bereshith 1:1 We just learned from the above passages that all was created in the Light, through the Light, and for the Light that was in the beginning with Elohim. So, despite the popular belief of everything being created in darkness, we can see that Scripture states that everything was created in Light. And the earth came to be formless and empty, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Elohim was moving on the face of the waters. Bereshith 1:2 The concepts of formlessness, emptiness, and darkness came to be after all was conceived in the eternal Light. The Hebrew word for darkness is choshek, which means a turning or twisting away (from the light). Imagine that you are standing up and directly facing the rising sun. You would be blinded by its esteem. Now imagine that you turn away 180 degrees. Instead of seeing the esteem of the sun, you would now see the choshek of your shadow. And that shadow would not exist without the light of the sun behind you. The light must exist before the darkness is able to. These first two verses are written to display the pattern of a principle that we see echoed throughout the rest of the accounts written in the Scriptures. Satan turned away from the Light into darkness. Adam turned away from YHWHs Light into a fallen state of darkness. The heavens and the earth were in constant Light until darkness came. And so on The Scripture in Bereshith 1:1-2 are not part of the 9

seven days of creation, but rather the pattern laid out for all creation both invisible and visible. In these two verses we read about the conception of the heavens, the earth, and all that is in them including the light and the darkness. But the manifestation of them all is not yet brought forth at this point. We will cover the manifestation of YHWHs creation later. There is the original Light and Perfection of YHWH, then the turning away from Light and Perfection into darkness and corruption, and then the turning back (repentance) to the original Light and Perfection of YHWH. This conceptual pattern is according to the desire of Elohim. Darkness cannot exist without having the Light to turn away from. Before there was ever any darkness, there was light. Light has always existed from everlasting there is no starting point to the beginning. The beginning is eternal, and the end is eternal. Everything in between the beginning and the end is a result of the turning away from the Light (darkness). YHWH is the Light. YHWH is eternal. Darkness was created, but light was never created only formed and fashioned by the distress of darkness. forming light and creating darkness, making peace and creating evil. I, YHWH, do all these. Yeshayahu 45:7 Light and darkness both went from invisible concepts to visible manifestations. One can see the light and also see the darkness. But before there was visibility, there was invisibility (which is not darkness). In darkness, the color black is seen. But in invisibility, nothing can be seen, not even the color black. I understand why one would believe that darkness came before light, but in reality it should rather be understood that invisibility was before visibility, and that before light and darkness were manifested, they were merely invisible concepts that could not be seen. By belief, we understand that the ages were prepared by the word of Elohim, so that what is seen was not made of what is visible. Ibrim 11:3 YHWH, the Light, was in the beginning. He is eternal. There is no starting point of the beginning. There is only a starting point of the manifestation (birth) of the concepts created in the beginning. Yahushua, the Image of the Light, is the Beginning of the manifested creation. And this is the message which we have heard from Him and announce to you, that Elohim is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 1 Yohanan 1:5 who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim, the first-born of all creation. Colossians 1:15

The Manifestation of YHWHs Natural Clock and Calendar As we look at the work that YHWH has done, let us consider what is written about the time period that work is done: You put darkness, and it is night, in it all the beasts of the forest creep. The young lions are roaring for prey, and seeking their food from El. The sun arises they withdraw and lie down in their dens. Man goes out to his work, and to his labour, till evening. Tehillim 104:20-23 It is necessary for Me to work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day night is coming, when no one is able to work. Yohanan 9:4 We can see here that the typical time for work to be done is during the day, between sunrise (the end of morning) and sunset (the beginning of evening), and not in the darkness of the night. Night is the void section of the day, since normal work cannot be done that is, without the magic of electricity, of course. Let us keep this in consideration, while paying attention to when YHWH is doing the work of creation. And Elohim said, Let light come to be, and light came to be. And Elohim saw the light, that it was good. Bereshith 1:3-4A This is the manifestation of the light. Notice that He declared the light, not created it. This was the beginning of YHWHs work day on the first day of creation. And Elohim separated the light from the darkness. And Elohim called the light day and the darkness He called night. Bereshith 4B-5A This was the work that YHWH did on the first day, until the evening. He divided between light and darkness and gave them the names of day and night respectively. And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the first day. Bereshith 1:5B Notice that the night (void) section between the evening (departure of the day) and morning (dawning of the next day) was not even mentioned as part of the first day. The light is the day, and the darkness is the night (not the day). Remember, at this point the expanse (heavens), the dry land (earth) and the luminaries have not yet been manifested. Only the concepts of light and darkness have been manifested. Yet, there still exists the concepts of day and night at this point. And Elohim said, Let an expanse come to be in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters. And Elohim made the expanse, and separated the waters which were

11

under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. And it came to be so. And Elohim called the expanse heavens. Bereshith 1:6-8A This was the work that YHWH did on the second day, until evening. And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the second day. Bereshith 8B Now, at this point, the light, darkness, and the heavens have been manifested, but still no earth or luminaries. The light has not yet been placed in the heavens through the luminaries. And Elohim said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear. And it came to be so. And Elohim called the dry land earth, and the collection of the waters He called seas. And Elohim saw that it was good. And Elohim said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the plant that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth. And it came to be so. And the earth brought forth grass, the plant that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And Elohim saw that it was good. Bereshith 1:9-12 This is the work that YHWH did on the third day, until evening. And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the third day. Bereshith 1:13 So now we have the manifestation of the light, darkness, heavens, and earth, but no luminaries. And now there are also plants which will need illumination. So, the light will need to be placed inside the heavens through the luminaries in order to provide light on the earth for the plants. On to the fourth day And Elohim said, Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years, and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth. And it came to be so. And Elohim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the stars. And Elohim set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And Elohim saw that it was good. Bereshith 1:14-18 Before, I always assumed that the sun is the greater light and that the moon is the lesser light. But now I understand that the light is separate from the heavenly bodies. We saw that the light existed above, or outside of, the heavens before the heavenly bodies were manifested. The heavenly bodies are not the lights, but are used as tools to usher the light into the heavens and upon the earth.

12

To Him who made great lights, For His kindness is everlasting; The sun to rule by day, For His kindness is everlasting; The moon and stars to rule by night, For His kindness is everlasting. Tehillim 136:7-9 In the way this is expressed in the Masoretic Text, it could be translated the sun for the realm in the day and the moon and stars for the realm in the night. This would better display the use of these heavenly bodies to usher in the greater and lesser lights, instead of them actually being the greater and lesser lights. The sun, moon, and stars are merely tools to bring forth the greater and lesser lights. Notice in the following passage how the light is separate from the sun, moon, and stars: Before the sun and the light, the moon and the stars, are darkened, and the clouds return after the rain; Qoheleth 12:2 The greater light is provided through the sun, when the suns rays are directly shining upon the earths surface. The greater light is the maximum level of light in the bright blue sky. It is not the sun itself that rules the day, but rather the greater light provided by its direct rays. Since we know that the light is called day, and that the greater light, the direct sun rays, rule the day, we can conclude that the day is the period of light between sunrise and sunset, when the direct sun rays are shining upon the earth. It is not the moon and stars themselves that rule the night, but rather the lesser light that they give or reflect. The lesser light is the minimum level of brightness in the night sky. Notice that between evening and morning the sky is never completely black. Even if there is no moon out, and no light pollution from nearby cities, there is still a low level of light in the sky. This light comes from the stars, airglow from indirect solar activity, and sunlight reflected from space dust and the moon (if it is present). This minimum level of light, the lesser light, rules the night, the period of darkness.

The pattern of that we see in the creation week of YHWH, is that He works (during the day), then it becomes evening, then it becomes morning, each day. We see this pattern for the six days of the work of creation. And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which Elohim in creating had made. Bereshith 2:2-3 On the seventh day, when YHWH would normally work (during the day) He does not. Evening and morning are not mentioned. YHWHs natural clock is not a time keeping device with hours, minutes, and seconds. It is the movement of the sun and the stars across the expanse in the heavens. His natural calendar is not a sheet of paper with numbers and names of days, months, and years. It is the expanse with the greater and lesser lights in it. His clock and calendar was completed and put into use on the fourth day of creation. So, the beginning of the calendar of YHWH is in the fourth day position of the week.

The Pattern of the Day Cycle: YHWHs Natural Clock Here is the pattern of the day cycle according to YHWHs Word: (1) DAY; the period of light between sunrise and sunset. And Elohim called the light day and the darkness He called night. Bereshith 1:5A And Elohim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the stars. Bereshith 1:16 the period of light between sunrise and sunset, as distinguished from the night the part of a day occupied with regular activity, esp. work: Collins English Dictionary - Complete & Unabridged 10th Edition Meaning originally, in English, "the daylight hours," expanded to mean "the 24-hours Online Etymology Dictionary, 2010 Douglas Harper The day is divided into twelve sections (hours). This does not mean that each hour is sixty minutes long. It just means that the duration of time between sunrise and sunset can be separated into 1/12 portions, determined by the position of the sun in relationship to the earths horizon. When the sun is a quarter way across the sky it is about the 3rd hour. When it is directly half way across the sky it is the 6th hour, or midday. When it is three quarters way across the sky it is about the 9th hour, etc. Day is typically the time of normal work. Though it generally means the time of light, it can also be referred to as the specified time that a work is done. Here are some examples:

14

in the day that YHWH Elohim made earth and heavens. Bereshith 2:4 For the day of YHWH is great and very awesome, and who does bear it? Yoel 2:11 And I shall certainly hide My face in that day, because of all the evil which they have done, for they shall turn to other mighty ones. Debarim 31:18 As we can see from the creation account, work was done during the day, then it came to be evening, then it came to be morning. Notice on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there is no mention of evening or morning. And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which Elohim in creating had made. Bereshith 2:2-3 This is because we are commanded to rest on the seventh day at the time that we would normally work (in the day). Naturally, we would not be doing any normal work in the evening, night, or morning anyway. (2) EVENING; the period of light/dark mixture (twilight) between sunset and nightfall. This is a transitional period between day and night. the being who has touched it shall be unclean until evening, and does not eat the set-apart offerings, but shall bathe his body in water. And when the sun goes down he shall be clean, and afterward eat the set-apart offerings, because it is his food. Wayyiqra 22:6-7 And he hanged the sovereign of Ai on a tree until evening. And at sunset Yehoshua commanded that they should take his corpse down from the tree, and throw it at the entrance of the gate of the city, and raise over it a great heap of stones, to this day. Yehoshua 8:29 And when evening came, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon possessed. Mark 1:32 This is the time of the day cycle when regular work is completed. It is time to get cleaned up partake of the evening meal and enjoy some fellowship with your family. evening: the period following sunset with which the Jewish day began Easton's 1897 Bible Dictionary The Jewish people (both Rabbinical and Karaite) practice the tradition of reckoning the beginning of the day in the evening. 15

(3) NIGHT; the void section of darkness between evening and morning. You put darkness, and it is night, in it all the beasts of the forest creep. Tehillim 104:20 the period of darkness each 24 hours between sunset and sunrise, as distinct from day Collins English Dictionary - Complete & Unabridged 10th Edition This is the normal time for sleep. The watchmen keep watch at night for any potential danger to the camp/community. There are four watches in the night. The course of the first visible stars that rise due east at nightfall can be monitored as they travel across the night sky. A quarter way across the sky would be the end of the first watch, half way would be the end of the second, three quarters way across would be the end of the third watch, and the light of dawn would be the end of the fourth watch. (4) MORNING; the dawning light before the sunrise of the next day. This is the other transition period between night and day. And Ya'acob was left alone. And a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day And He said, Let Me go, for the day breaks. But he said, I am not letting You go until You have blessed me! Bereshith 32:24, 26 The Hebrew word for day, yom, does not appear here. The Hebrew word for daybreak is shachar. It is the beginning of the period of light before sunrise (dawn, morning). And they knew her and rolled themselves on her all night until morning, and let her go when the day began to break. Shophetim 19:25B Morning, boqer, began at daybreak, shachar. But as morning dawned the next day Elohim appointed a worm which attacked the plant so that it withered. And it came to be when the sun came up, that Elohim appointed a scorching east wind, and the sun smote on Yonahs head, so that he grew faint, and asked for his life to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live. Yonah 4:7-8 The morning dawning the next day is the time of light before sunrise. Notice that the sun came up at a later time. When the sun came up it was the beginning of the next day. Originally the time just before sunrise. Online Etymology Dictionary, 2010 Douglas Harper The early light that dawns the next day is the time to arise and prepare for the work of the coming day.

16

This is the order of the periods of the day cycle: DAY, EVENING, NIGHT, then MORNING. Sunrise, the beginning of the domain of the greater light, is the beginning of each day. Here are some examples in Scripture where we can see this pattern. Come, let us make our father drink wine and lie with him, so that we preserve the seed of our father. So they made their father drink wine that night. And the first-born went in and lay with her father, and he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she arose. And it came to be on the next day that the first-born said to the younger, See, I lay with my father last night. Let us make him drink wine tonight as well, and you go in and lie with him, so that we keep the seed of our father. So they made their father drink wine that night as well. And the younger arose and lay with him, and he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she arose. Bereshith 19:32-35 The next day was after the night. The day begins in the light of day.

17

And Mosheh and Aharon came in to Pharaoh and said to him, Thus said YHWH Elohim of the Hebrews, Till when shall you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, so that they serve Me. Or else, if you refuse to let My people go, see, tomorrow I am bringing locusts within your borders And Mosheh stretched out his rod over the land of Mitsrayim, and YHWH brought an east wind on the land all that day and all that night. Morning came, and the east wind brought the locusts. Shemoth 10:3-4, 13 The next day came in the morning. The day begins in the light of day. And the people were up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and gathered the quail. He who has least gathered ten homers. And they spread them out for themselves all around the camp. Bemidbar 11:32 The next day was after the night. The day begins in the light of day. And they arrested them, and put them in jail until the next day, for it was already evening. Maasei 4:3 It was evening, yet it was not the next day until the next period of light. This pattern of the day cycle mirrors the cycle of YHWHs plan. First, the great work of YHWH is done in the Light (eternal day). Then, there is a turning away into darkness (evening). Then, the world goes to sleep in the darkness, when the workers of darkness are awake (night). Then, those who are asleep arise in the dawning light to prepare for the coming day (morning). Finally, the new day is here (back to the eternal day).

The Day Pattern in the Appointed Times Now, let us examine how the differences in reckoning when a day begins affect the observance of the Festivals of YHWH. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, between the evenings, is the Passover to YHWH. And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Festival of Unleavened Bread to YHWH seven days you eat unleavened bread. On the first day you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. And you shall bring an offering made by fire to YHWH for seven days. On the seventh day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. Wayyiqra 23:5-8 If you begin your day as darkness sets in you eat your Passover meal when Passover is over. But Scripture says that Passover is a night observance between the evenings (between evening and morning). You are not allowed to slaughter the Passover within any of your gates which YHWH your Elohim gives you, but at the place where YHWH your Elohim chooses to make His Name dwell, there you slaughter the Passover in the evening, at the going down of the sun, at the appointed 18

time you came out of Mitsrayim. And you shall roast and eat it in the place which YHWH your Elohim chooses, and in the morning you shall turn and go to your tents. Debarim 16:5-7 It is a night to be observed unto YHWH for bringing them out of the land of Mitsrayim. This night is unto YHWH, to be observed by all the children of Yisrael throughout their generations. Shemoth 12:42 The children of Yashral left Rameses during this night, journeyed out of Rameses as the day dawned in the sight of the Egyptians that were burying the dead, then baked and ate unleavened bread during the next day. So they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the morrow of the Passover the children of Yisrael went out with boldness before the eyes of all the Mitsrites, and the Mitsrites were burying all their first-born, whom YHWH had smitten among them. Also on their mighty ones YHWH had executed judgments. Bemidbar 33:3-4 And the children of Yisrael set out from Rameses to Sukkoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides the little ones. And a mixed multitude went up with them too, also flocks and herds, very much livestock. And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Mitsrayim, for it was not leavened, since they were driven out of Mitsrayim, and had not been able to delay, nor had they prepared food for themselves. Shemoth 12:37-39 We can see here that the children of Yashral left during the night phase and journeyed through the morning and into the fifteenth day. Of course, the Egyptians would have been burying their dead during the day when they could see. This baking had to be done in the day (the first day of Unleavened Bread). They had just eaten a meal in the night, so I could not imagine that they would run out of their houses in Egypt and immediately bake cakes. Their journey from their houses to their camp had to begin in the night and continue into the next day, which began in just a few hours after they left. So, if you begin the day in the light of day, you observe Passover on Passover night until morning, at the dawning of Unleavened Bread. This matches the pattern of the first account of Passover and Unleavened Bread and is correct according to the Word of YHWH. If you begin the day as darkness sets in, you believe that you afflict your being and observe the High Sabbath on the 10th day, from evening to evening for the Day of Atonement. But then you would not afflict your being and observe the High Sabbath from the 9th day at evening, if in fact the day begins in the evening. It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath. Wayyiqra 23:32

19

Or some may afflict the being and observe the Sabbath from the 9th day at evening to the 10th day at evening, but then that is just the beginning of the 10th day for those who begin the day as darkness sets in. So the High Sabbath and affliction of the being would occur on the 9th day and not occur on the 10th day, if the day begins in the evening. And on the tenth day of this seventh month you have a set-apart gathering, and you shall afflict your beings, you do no work. Bemidbar 29:7 However, if you begin your day in the light of the day, you afflict your being and observe the High Sabbath from the 9th day at evening to the 10th day at evening, like the Scripture says. After the affliction of the being, that evening is still on the 10th day, when you can gather with your brothers and sisters in partaking of a cooked offering together. This is the only Sabbath observed from evening to evening, and the only Sabbath commanding you to afflict your being, which is why there are special instructions concerning it - only for this High Sabbath. If you begin your day as darkness sets in, then for the Festival of Booths you dwell in your sukkah (booth/hut) before the Festival begins, because you consider the night of the 14th to be the beginning of the 15th. Then you dwell in it for eight days. But the Scripture says to dwell in them for seven days, and have a closing festival on the eighth day. It does not say to dwell in them for eight days. On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you gather in the fruit of the land, observe the festival of YHWH for seven days. On the first day is a rest, and on the eighth day a rest. And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of good trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and shall rejoice before YHWH your Elohim for seven days. And you shall observe it as a festival to HWHY for seven days in the year a law forever in your generations. Observe it in the seventh month. Dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native Yisraelites dwell in booths, so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisrael dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. I am YHWH your Elohim. Wayyiqra 23:39-43 If you begin your day in the light of day, then you dwell in your sukkah for seven days, like the command says. Then you have a closing festival on the eighth day, like the command says. Dwelling in the sukkah on the night before the first day of the Festival is not a requirement. By taking an honest look at how the differences in the reckoning of the start of the day affect the Feast days, we can gain a better understanding of how to observe these Feasts according to the Word of YHWH and not according to the traditions of men.

Why Not the Moon for Months? The moon gives reflected light from the sun to the earth. It can be out during the day or night, or even parts of both. Its presence does not determine whether it is day or night. The sun and the stars control when the earth is experiencing the greater light and the lesser light. Therefore, it is the sun and the stars that are used to separate the day from the night, to determine the signs, appointed times, days, and years, and to give light on the earth either directly, or indirectly via the moon and the space dust. In Enochs Book of the Luminaries, the characteristics and course of the moon are described in chapters 73 and 74. It appears that the details of the moon are described to support the reason why the moon is not used to determine months and years, since its course does not align with the course of the sun and the stars. In that section, it specifies what determines the months and years. And the sun and the stars bring in all the years exactly, so that they do not advance or delay their position by a single day unto eternity; but complete the years with perfect justice in 364 days And the year is accurately completed in conformity with their world-stations and the stations of the sun, which rise from the portals through which it (the sun) rises and sets 30 days. Enoch 74:12, 17 However, the moon has exactly 606 lunar cycles per Jubilee cycle of forty-nine years. This can help us get back on track with the land Sabbaths and Jubilees using the heavenly bodies if we lose track. So, the moon can assist the sun in the keeping of appointed times. He made the moon for appointed times; The sun knows its going down. Tehillim 104:19 When looking at the Hebrew of the Masoretic Text, this may or may not be a proper translation. Could it be that this passage could have been translated, He made the moon for the appointed times of the sun; It knows its entrances? Either way, it does not say that the moon is used to determine days, months, or years. The appointed times that could be referred to here, could be the land Sabbaths and Jubilees, if the translation is correct. After all, the Masoretic Text is a translation of the Rabbinic Jews (offshoot of the Pharisees), and must be highly scrutinized. The word for moon is yerach. This refers to the actual heavenly body in the sky. The word chodesh means new, refreshed, renewal, etc. Though it states in the Strongs Concordance that it could also mean moon, the word itself has absolutely nothing to do with the moon. It is only implied that it is referring to the renewal of the moon in order to support the doctrine of using the moon for months. It is usually erroneously translated as new moon, when it should be translated as new month (beginning of a 30 day cycle), or simply month (a set of 30 days). The expression, Rosh Chodesh Sameach! should be translated, Happy Beginning of the Month! not Happy New Moon! This Scripture is also misleading: Blow the rams horn at the time of the New Moon, At the full moon, on our festival day. Tehillim 81:3

21

The word chodesh is used here for New Moon, not yerach. It should say New Month, not New Moon. Where it says full moon, it is sometimes translated as in the covering or at the appointed time. The word used is kece, which really means seat of honor, throne, royal dignity, or authority. A better translation would say, Blow the shofar in the New Month, in royal authority, for the day of our festival. This doctrine of using the moon to determine days, months, years, Sabbaths, and festivals is based on worldly traditions maintained by the Pharisees and Sadducees. And command you the children of Yisrael that they observe the years according to this reckoning- three hundred and sixty-four days, and (these) will constitute a complete year, and they will not disturb its time from its days and from its feasts; for everything will fall out in them according to their testimony, and they will not leave out any day nor disturb any feasts. But if they do neglect and do not observe them according to His commandment, then they will disturb all their seasons and the years will be dislodged from this (order), [and they will disturb the seasons and the years will be dislodged] and they will neglect their ordinances. And all the children of Yisrael will forget and will not find the path of the years, and will forget the new months, and seasons, and Shabbats and they will go wrong as to all the order of the years. For I know and from henceforth will I declare it unto you, and it is not of my own devising; for the book is written before me, and on the heavenly tablets the division of days is ordained, lest they forget the feasts of the covenant and walk according to the feasts of the Gentiles after their error and after their ignorance. For there will be those who will assuredly make observations of the moon -how it disturbs the seasons and comes in from year to year ten days too soon. For this reason the years will come upon them when they will disturb (the order), and make an abominable (day) the day of testimony, and an unclean day a feast day, and they will confound all the days, the kodesh with the unclean, and the unclean day with the kodesh; for they will go wrong as to the months and Shabbats and feasts and jubilees. For this reason I command and testify to you that you may testify to them; for after your death your children will disturb them, so that they will not make the year three hundred and sixty-four days only, and for this reason they will go wrong as to the new months and seasons and Shabbats and festivals, and they will eat all kinds of blood with all kinds of flesh. Jubilees 6:32-38 All of the places where the word chodesh is used should be translated as month, not moon. This word is never referring to the heavenly body in the sky. The word yerach is always referring to that heavenly body in the sky, and can be used to describe an estimated duration of time (e.g. about 3 moons), but never refers to the specific months of the year. There are four instances in the Masoretic text that use the word yerach in reference to an actual month. In the fourth year the foundation of the House of HWHY was laid, in the month Ziw. And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, the eighth month, the house was completed in all its matters and according to all its plans. Thus he built it for seven years. 1 Melakim 6:37-38

22

And all the men of Yisrael assembled to Sovereign Shelomoh at the festival in the month of Eythanim, which is the seventh month. 1 Melakim 8:2 And this House was completed on the third day of the month of Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Sovereign Dareyawesh. Ezra 6:15 The underlined words are translated from yerach. These few places in the Masoretic Text of the Tanak that use the word yerach in reference to a month, use the Greek word men (month; from Hebrew chodesh) instead of selene (moon; from Hebrew yerach) in the Septuagint (LXX) which predates the existence of the Masorites. That means that the Greek translators of the Septuagint sourced a much older copy of the Tanak that used the word chodesh instead of yerach in these passages. Could this be deliberate deception on the part of the Masorites under the authority of the Rabbis?

The Issue of the Thirteenth Month Whether one goes by the Rabbinical doctrine of identifying the conjunctive phase of the moon as the beginning of the month, or the Karaite doctrine of identifying the sliver as the beginning of the month, there is a need of an intercalated thirteenth month every so often. The moon has an average of 29.5 days per lunar cycle. There are approximately 354 days in 12 lunar cycles. So every so often, an additional thirteenth lunar month must be added to a lunar year so that the years do not drift further and further back beginning in different seasons. The beginning of one lunar year could be weeks apart in time from the beginning of the previous lunar year in relation to the solar year. Lunar years shift all over the place like the course of the moon. Scripture does not testify of any thirteenth month, only twelve. And Dawid, with Tsadoq of the sons of Elazar, and Ahimelek of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their offices in their service. And there were more leaders found of the sons of Elazar than of the sons of Ithamar. So they divided the sons of Elazar into sixteen heads of their fathers houses, and the sons of Ithamar into eight heads of their fathers houses. And they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the set-apart place and officials of Elohim, from the sons of Elazar and from the sons of Ithamar. 1 Dibre haYamim 24:3-5 The full passage is 1 Dibre haYamim 24:1-19. There were twenty-four priests (two per month) to serve as officials of Elohim. There were not two standby priests waiting for a thirteenth month. And the children of Yisrael, according to their number, the heads of fathers houses, and the commanders of thousands and hundreds and their officers, served the sovereign in all matters of the divisions which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, each division having twenty-four thousand The twelfth for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel, and in his division were twenty-four thousand. 1 Dibre haYamim 27:1, 15 The full passage is 1 Dibre haYamim 27:1-15. There are only twelve months accounted for, and not an occasional thirteenth. 23

And Shelomoh had twelve governors over all Yisrael, who provided food for the sovereign and his household each one made provision for one month of the year 1 Melakim 4:7 The full passage is 1 Melakim 4:7-19. Again, only twelve months. No standby governor for an occasional thirteenth month.

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:2 There are only twelve fruits. There is no occasional thirteenth fruit. And may He make your sons many during your life, And may they arise according to the number of the months of the year. And may their sons become many and great beyond the stars of heaven, And their numbers be more than the sand of the sea. Jubilees 25:16 Yaacob had twelve sons, not thirteen. There is only one account in Scripture that I can think of that might suggest a thirteenth month. It is when YHWH commands Ezekiel to lay on his left side for 390 days, then on his right side for forty days, for a total of 430 days. And it came to be in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth of the month, as I was among the exiles by the River Kebar, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of Elohim. On the fifth of the month, in the fifth year of Sovereign Yehoyakins exile, the word of YHWH came expressly to Yehezqel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Kebar. And the hand of HWHY came upon him there. Yehezqel 1:1-3 Note the beginning of the time frame; the fifth day of the fourth month, of the fifth year And I came to the exiles at Tel Aviv, who were dwelling by the River Kebar. And I sat where they were sitting, and sat there, stunned among them, seven days. Yehezqel 3:15 Seven days passed by, bringing us to the twelfth day, of the fourth month, of the fifth year. It was on this day that Ezekiel received the command to lie on his side. And lie on your left side, and you shall put the crookedness of the house of Yisrael on it. As many days as you lie on it, you shall bear their crookedness. For I Myself have laid on you the years of their crookedness, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days. And you shall bear the crookedness of the house of Yisrael. And when you have completed 24

them, you shall lie again on your right side and shall bear the crookedness of the house of Yehudah forty days, a day for a year. I have laid on you a day for a year. Yehezqel 4:4-6 That is a total of 430 days. Now pay attention to the this next date: And it came to be in the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth of the month, as I sat in my house with the elders of Yehudah sitting before me, that the hand of the Master YHWH fell upon me there. Yehezqel 8:1 According to a twelve month reckoning, both solar and lunar, the 430 days would not yet be completed in this passage. Therefore, because the text states that he sat in his house, one could conclude that the command given to him by YHWH must have been fulfilled. This would mean that there is no way this could have been done unless there was a thirteenth month involved to provide an extra twenty-nine or thirty days of time to cover the required 430 days. This would be true if indeed Ezekiel was sitting in his house. However, the word for sat (yashab) also can be translated as "remained". In fact, this word does not have anything to with the orientation of a persons body. It has to do with the state of remaining or dwelling. The way that it is used in the passage (yushab; Qal - Active Participle) suggests that it was a continuation of an action that had started in the past. The phrase could have been translated: "...as I had been remaining in my house, with the elders of Yehudah remaining before me..." This would show that the forty days were not completed yet, he was remaining in the same position (on his right side), while the elders were with him in his house (since he could not leave), and he was taken up in the spirit before the fullness of the time. Notice that when Ezekiel (called the son of man) was taken up he saw the abominations done by the elders (up there) then put on his 'baggage for exile' and went into the captivity of Yahudah in order to be a sign of the Son of Man to Yashral and to lead the captives out. And that was done before they went into exile. Now we know that Yahushua Messiah (the Son of Man) is sitting (or remaining) at, or on the "right side" of the Father until the fullness of the time. Could it be that He is completing the remaining twelve days, or whatever is left of the forty days, now, and that Ezekiel was a type and shadow of the Son of Man being taken up to remain at the right hand of the Father until the fullness of time? But staying on the subject, I do not see this Ezekiel passage as solid proof that there is a possible thirteenth month. I do not believe there is ever a thirteenth month in a year. I believe that there are strictly twelve months in a year, since there are many witnesses in favor of it, and none in favor of an occasional thirteenth month.

Thirty-Day Months Determined by the Sun We are required to know when the beginnings of the months are: And on the beginnings of your months you bring near a burnt offering to YHWH: Bemidbar 28:11 This is the rosh chodesh that is usually mistranslated as new moon. The beginnings of the months were not surprises. They did not require any visual observation of a conjunctive phase or sliver of the moon. The new month is known on YHWHs calendar just as the new month is known on the worlds calendar. And Dawid said to Yehonathan, See, tomorrow is the New Moon (really New Month), and I ought to sit with the sovereign to eat. But let me go, and I shall hide in the field until the third day at evening. 1 Shemuel 20:5 We are commanded by our Father to observe the Appointed Times. This word for observe, shamar, means to observe in the sense of guarding or keeping, but has nothing to do with visually seeing. No Festival should come as a surprise not even the Feast of Trumpets. The no man knows the day or the hour tradition is not scriptural. We should know when the Festivals are when we know the beginning of the year. And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon (really New Month to New Month), and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me, declares YHWH. Yeshayahu 66:23 There is no Scripture testifying of a month that lasts less than thirty days. In fact, there is Scripture in the canon (the parts of the Tanak that the Church allows to be considered Scripture) that testifies of thirtyday months. In the six hundredth year of Noahs life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of the heavens were opened. And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights And the waters were exceedingly mighty on the earth, and all the high mountains under all the heavens were covered And the waters were mighty on the earth, one hundred and fifty days. Bereshith 7:11-12, 19, 24 Five months of thirty days each would make 150 days exactly (not counting the sign days). So, 150 days later would bring us to the seventeenth day of the seventh month. And Elohim remembered Noah, and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark. And Elohim made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided. And the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were stopped, and the rain from the heavens was withheld. And the waters receded steadily from the earth, and at the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters diminished. And in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat. Bereshith 8:1-4 26

Thirty day months can also be seen in the Book of Revelation. But cast out the court which is outside the Dwelling Place, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the gentiles, and they shall trample the set-apart city under foot for forty-two months. And I shall give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clad in sackcloth. Revelation 11:2-3 Notice how forty-two multiplied by thirty equals 1,260 exactly? And if there are 360 days in a year (not counting the sign days), you get three and a half years. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by Elohim, to be nourished there one thousand two hundred and sixty days And the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. Revelation 12:6, 14 This is because the sun is the sign used to determine the times, and not the moon. And on the fourth day He created the sun and the moon and the stars, and set them in the firmament of the heaven, to give light upon all the earth, and to rule over the day and the night, and divide the light from the darkness. And YHWH appointed the sun to be a great sign on the earth for days and for Shabbats and for months and for feasts and for years and for Shabbats of years and for jubilees and for all seasons of the years. And it divides the light from the darkness and for prosperity, that all things may prosper which shoot and grow on the earth. These three kinds He made on the fourth day. Jubilees 2:8-10 This Scripture tells us the same thing that is written in Bereshith 1:14-19. Here also, the moon is not mentioned as being used to determine days, months, years, Sabbaths, or Appointed Times. It is the presence or the absence of the sun that determines whether the sky is lit up with the greater light of the sun, or the lesser light of the moon and the stars that is seen when the sun is absent. So, the sun is the sign that determines the times.

YHWHs Natural Calendar The Book of Enoch lays out the calendar. This is also the calendar referenced in Jubilees, and kept by the remnant assemblies throughout history. The course of the sun is what sets the days, months, years, Sabbaths, Festivals, and so on. Take the time to read and understand the Book of the Luminaries, starting in Enoch 72. This is the first commandment of the luminaries: The sun is a luminary whose egress is an opening of heaven, which is located in the direction of the east, and whose ingress is another opening of heaven, located in the west. I saw six openings through which the sun rises and six openings through which it sets. The moon also rises and sets through the same openings, and they are guided by the stars; together with those whom they lead, they are six in the east and six; in the west heaven. All of them, are arranged one after another in a constant order. There are many windows both to the left and the right of these openings. First, there goes out the great light whose name is the sun; its roundness is like the roundness of the sky; and it is totally filled with light and heat. The chariot on which it ascends is driven by the blowing wind. The sun sets in the sky in the west and returns by the northeast in order to go to the east; it is guided so that it shall reach the eastern gate and shine in the face of the sky. Enoch 72:2-5

72:6 In this manner it rises in the first month through the major gate; it proceeds through this gate which is the fourth among those six openings which are located in the direction of the east. 72:7 By this fourth gate through which the sun rises during the first month there are twelve open windows from which a flame flows, when they are opened at the appropriate time. 72:8 When the sun rises in the east in the sky, it goes out through this fourth gate for thirty mornings and descends faithfully through the fourth gate in the western sky. 72:9 During those thirty days the day daily becomes longer and the night nightly shorter, for thirty days. 72:10 On that day, the day is longer than the night by one ninth; so the day turns out to be exactly ten parts and the night to be eight parts. 72:11 The sun rises from that fourth eastern gate and sets in the fourth western one, and then it turns and comes into the fifth gate of the east for thirty days, through which it rises, and sets in the fifth gate. 72:12 At that time the day further becomes longer and becomes eleven parts and the night shortens and becomes seven parts on account of the sun. 72:13 It then returns to the east and comes into the sixth gate, rising and setting through that sixth gate for thirty one days, according to the principle of the gate. 72:14 On that day the day becomes longer than the night still further; so the day becomes twelve parts and the night shortens and becomes six parts. This is the end of the first quarter, the end of spring. This is the longest day of the year, and the day which the sun rises and sets most northerly of due east and due west. 72:15 Then the sun is raised in such a way that its duration shortens and night occurs; the sun returns to the east and enters the sixth gate, rising and setting through it for thirty days. 72:16 When thirty days are completed, the day decreases exactly by one part, and becomes eleven parts, and the night seven. 72:17 Then the sun, leaving the west by that sixth gate and going to the east, rises through the fifth gate for thirty mornings and sets again in the fifth gate in the west. 72:18 On that day the day decreases by two parts; so the day becomes ten parts and the night eight parts. 72:19 Then the sun, departing from that fifth gate and setting in the fifth gate, in the west, rises in the fourth gate for thirty one days according to the principle of the gate, and sets in the west. 72:20 On that day the day is aligned with the night, so that they become equal; so the night becomes nine parts and the day nine parts. This is the end of the second quarter, the end of summer. At this point the sun is rising and setting right in the middle of the range, exactly due east and due west. This is when the length of the day is equal to the length of the night. 72:21 Then the sun, departing from that gate and setting in the west, returns to the east and comes out through the third gate for thirty days, and sets in the third gate in the west. 72:22 On that day the night becomes longer than the day; it becomes longer than the previous night and the day becomes shorter than the previous day, for thirty days; so the night turns out to be exactly ten parts and the day to be eight parts. 72:23 Then the sun, departing from that third gate in the west and returning to the east, comes out through the second gate in the east for thirty days, and in the same manner it sets through the second gate in the western sky. 29

72:24 On that day the night becomes eleven parts and the day seven parts. 72:25 Then the sun, departing on that day from that second gate and setting in the west in the second gate, returns to the east and rises in the first gate for thirty one days, and sets on that day in the western sky. 72:26 On that day the night lengthens and becomes twelve parts, whereas the day shortens and becomes six parts. This is the end of the third quarter, the end of autumn. Now, we are at the shortest day of the year and the longest night. The sun rises and sets the most southerly of due east and due west on this day. 72:27 Thus the sun completes its appearances, and goes through those same cycles of appearances a second time, coming out through all the openings for thirty days and setting also in the west opposite to it. 72:28 On that night the length of the night decreases by one ninth; so the night becomes eleven parts and the day seven parts. 72:29 Then the sun, returning and entering the second gate which is in the east, resumes its appearances for thirty mornings, rising and setting as usual. 72:30 On that day the night becomes shorter, so the night becomes ten parts and the day eight parts. 72:31 On that day the sun, departing from this second gate and setting in the west, returns to the east and rises through the third gate for thirty one days, and sets in the western sky. 72:32 On that day the night shortens and becomes nine parts and the day nine parts. Then the night becomes equal with the day, and the days of the year add up to exactly three hundred sixty four days. This is the end of the fourth and final quarter, the end of winter. This is the end of the year. Now we must wait for a full duration of a day and night, and a partial duration of a day and night, observing the course of the sun to determine the sign of the chodesh abib (month of green, tender crops). Details on how to determine the sign of the coming year will be described later. And the length of the day and of the night, and the shortness of the day and of the night arise-through the course of the sun these distinctions are made. Enoch 72:33 Guard the month of Abib, and perform the Passover to YHWH your Elohim, for in the month of Abib YHWH your Elohim brought you out of Mitsrayim by night. Debarim 16:1 The next year begins, and the cycle of the sun repeats. So it comes that its course becomes daily longer, and its course nightly shorter. And this is the law and the course of the sun, and his return as often as he returns sixty times and rises, i.e. the great luminary which is named the sun, for ever and ever. And that which (thus) rises is the great luminary, and is so named according to its appearance, according as the Master commanded. Enoch 72:34-36

30

The year consists of twelve months of thirty days each. However, there are four additional days that divide the seasons. One day is added at the end of the third month of each quarter to be a sign for the next season. Blessed are all the righteous ones; blessed are those who walk in the street of righteousness and have no sin like the sinners in the computation of the days in which the sun goes its course in the sky. It the sun comes in through a door and rises for thirty days together with the chiefs of the thousands of the orders of the stars, together with the four which are added to determine the intervals within the year, that is, the intervals between the four seasons of the year; those that lead them along come in on four days. On this account there are people that err; they count them the four? in the computation of the year: for the people make error and do not recognize them accurately; for they belong to the reckoning of the year. Truly, they are recorded forever: one in the first gate, one in the third, one in the fourth, and one in the sixth. The year is completed in three hundred and sixty four days. Enoch 82:4-6 So the beginning of the year is determined by the course of the sun, and not according to a moon phase or a barley report. These are traditions of men. The months consist of thirty days, with one day added to the third month of every quarter to signal the season changes. The year consists of 364 days plus an interval of time between years for the sign of the new year and the month of Abib. This interval of time is one and a quarter days long, so one quarter is dropped off each year for three years, then the three dropped quarter days are combined with the quarter day in the fourth year to make a full day, causing a two day interval instead of one that year. The quarter of a day is omitted for three years, the fourth fulfills it exactly .Therefore they are taken outside of heaven for three years and are not added to the number of days, because they change the time of the years to two new months towards completion, to two others towards diminution. Secrets of Enoch 16:5-6

Determining the Sign of the Next Year We learned above that during the first month of the year the sun rises and sets in the fourth openings on the horizon, and that during the twelfth month the sun rises and sets in the third openings on the horizon. We also know that the day and night become equal on the 364th day of the year. That 364th day occurs right before the vernal (spring) equinox which can be observed the next day (365th day not part of the year). The day of the vernal equinox is an observation day; a day to make the distinction between years by the course of the sun. This distinction can be made by tracking the summer and winter solstice sunrise and sunset positions, then identifying the center coordinate (line between third and fourth horizon openings) of those positions. The day that the sun crosses that particular point is the equinox. This is the signal day that lets you know that the next day is the first day of the year, when the sun begins to rise and set in the fourth openings, and the days begin to be longer than the nights.

31

There are many structures in the world, such as the Chichen Itza pyramid in Mexico, that track the day of the vernal equinox by the position of the sunrise and/or sunset. Another way to indicate the equinox is by observing which day a pillar, like a flagpole, does not cast a shadow at solar noon. This method is only effective on or near the equator. Structures like the Intihuatana Stone at the Machu Picchu site in Peru serve this purpose. The pattern created by the shadow of a sundial will also help you determine the day of the vernal equinox no matter what part of the world you are in.

32

Another way to determine when the year begins is by the length of the days and of the nights. During the summer solstice, the day is at its longest duration while night is at its shortest duration. During the winter solstice, the day is at its shortest duration while the night is at its longest duration. The average duration between the day length at the summer solstice and the winter solstice is twelve hours. This is the length of the days at the vernal and autumnal equinoxes. However, trying to determine the beginning of the year by the length of the day and night in hours, minutes, and seconds is far too tricky because of other factors involved as we observe sunrise and sunset times. These factors include which parts of the sunrise and sunset begin and end the days, atmospheric pressure, temperature, and refraction. All of these factors distort the actual sunrise and sunset times, making the day appear longer than what it really is. This is why the day length is always tracked as being more than twelve hours long at the equator, and longer than twelve hours during the equinox. For more details, go to: http://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/equinox-not-equal.html Without understanding this, one may think that the equinox actually occurs on March 16th, and that the year begins on March 17th since the days begin to be longer than twelve hours on that day. But when taking into consideration all of the above mentioned illusory factors, one would realize that the day of March 17th is actually still shorter than twelve hours. The equinox can be observed on or around March 20th each year. So the beginning of the year is on or around March 21st each year. In March 2013, I was able to determine with a sundial that the equinox occurred on March 20th. Therefore, I reckoned the first day of the year to correlate with March 21st.

The Sabbath During the first three days of creation, there were no lights in the expanse. When the lights came into the expanse they were set there to determine times. So, when YHWHs natural calendar was manifested and put into use, it was the fourth day of the week. (Bereshith 1:14-19) Three days after that was the Sabbath. Therefore, the first day of the year on YHWHs natural calendar is in the fourth day position of the week. This pattern is also verified by the fact that Shabuot (Feast of Weeks) is on the fifteenth day of the third month. Since Shabuot is on the first day of the week, the only way for the Sabbaths to line up for Shabuot to be on the fifteenth day of the third month is if the year begins in the fourth day position of the week. And in the fifth year of the fourth week of this jubilee, [1979 A.M.] in the third month, in the middle of the month, Abram celebrated the feast of the first-fruits of the grain harvest. Jubilees 15:1 And she bare a son in the third month, and in the middle of the month, at the time of which YHWH had spoken to Abraham, on the festival of the first fruits of the harvest, Yitschaq was born. Jubilees 16:13

33

And Yisrael took his journey from Haran from his house on the new month of the third month, and he went on the way of the Well of the Oath, and he offered a sacrifice to YHWH the ALMIGHTY of his father Yitschaq on the seventh of this month. And Yacob remembered the dream that he had seen at Bethel, and he feared to go down into Egypt. And while he was thinking of sending word to Yoseph to come to him, and that he would not go down, he remained there seven days, if perchance he could see a vision as to whether he should remain or go down. And he celebrated the harvest festival of the first-fruits with old grain, for in all the land of Canaan there was not a handful of seed [in the land], for the famine was over all the beasts and cattle and birds, and also over man. And on the sixteenth YHWH appeared to him, and said to him, 'Yacob, Yacob'; and he said, 'Here am I.' And He said to him: 'I am YHWH the ALMIGHTY of your fathers, the ALMIGHTY of Abraham and Yitschaq; fear not to go down into Egypt, for I will there make of you a great nation I will go down with you, and I will bring you up (again), and in this land shall you be buried, and Yoseph shall put his hands upon your eyes. Fear not; go down into Egypt.' And his sons rose up, and his sons' sons, and they placed their father and their possessions upon wagons. And Yisrael rose up from the Well of the Oath on the sixteenth of this third month, and he went to the land of Egypt. Jubilees 44:1-8 This means that the first Sabbath of every year is on the fourth day of the first month. Then the Sabbaths occur every seven days after that. We must understand that the Sabbath day is not on whatever day we decide, nor is it determined by looking at our modern Gregorian calendars and seeing what the seventh day of the nations week is. And it definitely is not determined by the moon since the sun is the sign of all days, months, years, Sabbaths, and Festivals, and men go astray to all these things by observing the moon. Sure, we can look into history to see what day the followers of the doctrines of the Pharisees and Sadducees observed the Sabbath, but it just may lead us to follow the same mistakes they did. But if we know when the renewal of the Abib is, then we will know when the Sabbaths are for the year. And YHWH spoke to Mosheh, saying, And you, speak to the children of Yisrael, saying, My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, YHWH, am setting you apart. And you shall guard the Sabbath, for it is set-apart to you. Everyone who profanes it shall certainly be put to death, for anyone who does work on it, that being shall be cut off from among his people. Six days work is done, and on the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, set-apart to YHWH. Everyone doing work on the Sabbath day shall certainly be put to death. And the children of Yisrael shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant. Between Me and the children of Yisrael it is a sign forever. For in six days YHWH made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed. Shemoth 31:12-17 In the worlds method of time-keeping, according to the Gregorian calendar, the beginning of the year can fall on any day of the week. New Years Day can be on a Tuesday, Friday, Sunday, or whatever. YHWHs method of time-keeping does not work that way. His way is orderly. The first day of His year is always on the fourth day of the week. The day of the vernal equinox is not part of the year, month, nor week according to YHWHs natural calendar. It is an observation day that sets the coming year, month, and week. 34

The Sabbaths, New Months, and Festivals are always on the same days of the week and same days of the month, and correlate with the same position of the sunrises and sunsets in relation to the earths equator every year according to YHWHs time-keeping method. YHWHs Appointed Times are set and fixed without changing, and without the wayward patterns of the lunar cycles, and without the day drift of the worlds calendar. Because of the stability of the natural calendar, the instability of the worlds calendar causes the 7th day of YHWHs week to align with a different Gregorian day every year. The Gregorian calendars week structure is not at all dependent on the position of the sun. Therefore, simply regarding the 7th day of the Gregorian week (Saturday) as the Sabbath causes one to err in guarding the actual Sabbath. At this time I would like to state that I have brothers and sisters who reckon the Sabbath by the Gregorian Saturday or by the lunar cycle. If you truly believe that either of those is correct, then keep it according to what you believe, while remaining humble and continuing to search for the truth. I do not claim to have all the answers, but I must walk according to what I see. And I will not judge anyone for doing the best they can to the best of their knowledge and the best of their ability. We all still have a long way to go, and there are many lies to come out of as they are revealed. We must begin to be able to have some degree of fellowship with one another in order to strengthen each other and grow together in the Name of Yahushua even if we have to accomplish that level of love and shalom from different assemblies for the time being because of our differences in belief. As far as observing the Sabbath from the evening before, I do not see anything wrong with doing a little extra. After all, it is a time of rest since it is evening, and we should be done working anyway (in natural circumstances). But the requirement is that we do no work on the seventh DAY (the time we would normally work). Again, there is nothing wrong with starting early. It just cannot be pushed as a doctrine since Scripture does not support it. There is only one Sabbath, a High Sabbath, that requires one to observe the Sabbath from evening to evening. And it specifically states that type of observance for that day only. That is the Day of Atonement. This is a time of afflicting the being from the evening of the ninth day to the evening of the tenth day, and then partaking of the offering made by fire with the assembly after afflicting the being, which is still on the tenth day of the month. On the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It shall be a set apart gathering for you. And you shall afflict your beings, and shall bring an offering made by fire to YHWH. And you do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before YHWH your Elohim. For any being who is not afflicted on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people. And any being who does any work on that same day, that being I shall destroy from the midst of his people. You do no work a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath. Wayyiqra 23:27-32 This is the only High Festival Day that commands you to do no work. All others allow work pertaining to the Festival. There is no work done on this special Sabbath that begins in the evening, then the work pertaining to the Festival can be performed after sundown on the tenth day, which is still the tenth day and not the eleventh. 35

Closing The sole reason why any of this is even important is because YHWH sets the Appointed Times and commands His children to observe them according to His time and not ours, just as our Messiah Yahushua did. And the festival of the Yehudim was near, the Festival of Booths. So His brothers said to Him, Get away from here and go into Yehudah, so that Your taught ones also see the works that You are doing. For no one acts in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these works, show Yourself to the world. For even His brothers did not believe in Him. Yahushua therefore said to them, My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready. It is impossible for the world to hate you, but it hates Me because I bear witness of it, that its works are wicked. You go up to this festival. I am not yet going up to this festival, for My time has not yet been filled. Yohanan 7:2-8 Many false prophets and teachers have led the flock of YHWH astray by feeding His sheep man-made traditions and doctrines of men. But we are to seek the pure word in all humility. For there are many unruly men, senseless talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths have to be stopped, who upset entire households, teaching what they should not teach, for the sake of filthy gain. One of them, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons. This witness is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, in order for them to be sound in the belief, not paying attention to Yehudite fables, and commands of men who turn from the truth. Titus 1:10-14 So as we seek the ancient paths, let us humbly set aside any doctrines of men we may have adopted in ignorance, including the ones formed amongst ourselves, and revisit the Word of YHWH for instruction regarding His Feast days. We must take much care in not accidentally adopting the traditions of the very nations that are marked to be destroyed. Instead we must come out of Babylon completely and be set apart. When YHWH your Elohim does cut off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, guard yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire about their mighty ones, saying, How did these nations serve their mighty ones? And let me do so too. Do not do so to YHWH your Elohim, for every abomination which YHWH hates they have done to their mighty ones, for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their mighty ones. All the words I am commanding you, guard to do it do not add to it nor take away from it. Debarim 12:29-32

The last and final thing I want to re-iterate is that I have absolutely no desire to try to get anyone to follow me or believe like me, as is the custom of many. However, I do strongly encourage that you seek out the truth of this matter in all humility, looking to the Set Apart Spirit of YHWH as your Guide, and that you receive the renewing of your mind (paradigm shift) according to YHWHs perfect desire. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you prove what is that good and well-pleasing and perfect desire of Elohim.
