Questions from the CVGs interviewing process: 1. Tell me about yourself?

Well, Im 22 years old and Im a student of 4 semester of Law at the National University of Colombia although currently Ive made a pause in my studies. Im also an English private teacher and like to practice swimming on weekends.

Who do you live with?


I live in the family house with my parents and one brother.

What do you do on a daily basis?


When studying I got up at 5:50 in the evening and got my bike to my University to begin classes at 7:00 am. I studied until around 4:00 pm and then went back home with my bike, had some duties done until 6:00pm and then leave for my swimming practice with the Universitys team. On weekends I worked with English classes and had some university work done as well as spent time with my girlfriend and friends.

What are your economic responsibilities?


I currently have my own personal things meet with the savings I had as well as with the classes and tutorships I make. Transportation, clothing and sometimes lunch go also by myself. I need to pay my studies from now on and respond in almost every other area from this semester on.

Where does your family live?


Most live in Santander and Boyac, although my nearest family members live here in Bogot.

2. Tell me about your work experience


Sure, the most relevant work experience I have, and by the way the most appropriate to this job, is as a private English tutor for particular institutes and for individuals as well. As a teacher of varied groups, ages and characters, I have learnt to deal with different persons and situations in all English-based contexts. Last vacation time I worked for only one month and a half for a shoes store in a big commercial mall. Those have been my last two jobs. At the University I also helped with some classes and as a student leader highly know in the social media and the internet, I gained team-player skills, social skills, and multitasking skills; as well as dealing with stressful situations.

3. Tell me about your strengths/weaknesses


Well I consider myself to be quite polite, serious according to the context but at the same time very funny and kind, Im a smart guy and very honest and direct with want I want, Im never timid nor introverted.

4. How did you feel taking the test?


It was all right with me I felt comfortable, thank you.

5. Where did you learn English?


I began to learn English since I was 8 years old when I got to study at the Colombo American institute on Saturdays, until very recently when I entered my university first degree in German and English Philology in 2010.

6. How did you hear about Convergys?


A friend of my girlfriend had worked for the company 1 year ago and told her about it.

7. Why do you want to work at Convergys?


Well, I do have that as my goal. Convergys is very well known for its high standards of corporation honesty, productiveness, good labour environment, and as a great place for personal development and innovation. All of this, not common in my country, makes the company a great place to join and contribute, knowing that I will be challenged in such a company as well.

8. What campaign are you interested in?


Im interested in the SBUC English campaign.

9. When are you available to start working?


Ill be ready to work whenever the company decides. Im anxious to show my potential every time and to learn the most from each opportunity.

10. What times and days are you available to work?


I wouldnt have problem working every day although I honestly would like to rest on Sundays.

11. What do you think about the indefinite contract and the benefits the company has to offer?
Thats really great, I personally think the company has not only met the current Colombian Laws at perfection but also has increased its benefits and stimulus so that we the employees get more and more motivated and really care for our job.

12. Have you been outside of the country? Do you plan to travel within the next year?
No, Ive never been outside the country or plan to travel in the short time although my university may help me go and study abroad for a year usually at the end of my career, and Ill definitely go for it, but theres still some time to get there.

13. Are you attending a university, or college? Yes, but have paused this semester in order to work only. 14. Are you currently waiting for papers and/or approval from a different country? No, Im not.

15. Are you currently taking any courses? Not currently.

16. What university do you attend? I attend the National University of Colombia. 17. What semester are you in? Im in third-forth semester. 18. What career? Law. 19. When will you do your thesis? Not yet, theres still time to go. 20. What schedule do you study in? Not currently. 21. If you are taking X degree (Business administration, Journalism, etc.)/or if you graduated from X degree why are you looking for a job in a call center? Im looking for this specific job especially for its bilingual, teamoriented, organizational, systems and strategic appeal. 22. Do you see yourself working and studying at the same time?
Its probable that I may be able to do that, in fact, if possible, Id like to, nevertheless Im no longer enrolled in my university at this present moment since Ive paused my semester.
