Israel: Attorney General is asked to instruct Israel Policeto launch criminal investigation of the Office of the Clerk of the Supreme Court
On March 7, 2002, then Chief Clerk Shmaryahu Cohen died in the SupremeCourt under suspicious circumstances. Since then, Ms Sarah Lifschitzoccupies the office of the Chief Clerk with no lawful appointment record, andnone of the Supreme Court's decision is duly certified by the Chief Clerk.

- letter, filed with Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, asks that the Attorney General instruct the Israel Police toinitiate criminal investigation of the office of the Chief Clerk of the SupremeCourt of the State of Israel.
According to Israeli law, criminalinvestigations against the judiciary branch must be authorized by the Attorney General.The request, filed today, refers to three requests for investigations, previously filed with the Israel Police:a. Complaint, filed on March 27, 2002 by Oholiva Peretz Izescu, pertaining tothe death of then Chief Clerk Shmaryahu Cohen, z”l; b. Complaint No 158921/2012, filed on April 16, 2012 by Dr Joseph Zernik against today's “Chief Clerk” - Ms Sarah Lifschitz;c. Additional Evidence, filed on June 2, 2013 by Dr Joseph Zernik.The 2002 Complain is related to the death under suspicious circumstances of then Chief Clerk Shmaryahu Cohen in the Supreme Court on March 7, 2002,in the Supreme Court, which was described by media as "cardiac arrest".However, the 2002 Complaint of suspected murder could not provide areasonable motive.The 2012 Complaint pertains to the conduct of “Chief Clerk” Sarah Lifschitz, who occupies the office of Chief Clerk since the death of Shmaryahu Cohen
