Postpone Wireless Access Point installation until there is no risk o thunderstorm or lightning activity in thearea.Do not overload outlets or extension cords, as this can result in a risk o re or electric shock. OverloadedAC outlets, extension cords, rayed power cords, damaged or cracked wire insulation, and broken plugs aredangerous. They may result in a shock or re hazard.Route power supply cords so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or againstthem. Pay particular attention to cords where they are attached to plugs and convenience receptacles, andexamine the point where they exit rom the product.Place this equipment in a location that is close enough to an electrical outlet to accommodate the length o thepower cord.Place this equipment on a stable surace.When using this device, basic saety precautions should always be ollowed to reduce the risk o re, electricshock and injury to persons, including the ollowing:

Avoid using this product during an electrical storm. There may be a risk o electric shock rom lightning. Foradded protection or this product during a lightning storm, or when it is let unattended and unused or longperiods o time, unplug it rom the wall outlet, and disconnect the cable system. This will prevent damage tothe product due to lightning and power surges.

Operate this product only rom the type o power source indicated on the product’s marking label. I you arenot sure o the type o power supplied to your home, consult your dealer or local power company.

Upon completion o any service or repairs to this product, ask the service technician to perorm saetychecks to determine that the product is in sae operating condition.It is recommended that the customer install an AC surge protector in the AC outlet to which this device isconnected. This is to avoid damaging the equipment by local lightning strikes and other electrical surges.Dierent types o cord sets may be used or connections to the main supply circuit. Use only a main line cordthat complies with all applicable product saety requirements o the country o use.Installation o this product must be in accordance with national wiring codes.Place unit to allow or easy access when disconnecting the power cord/adapter o the device rom the AC walloutlet.Wipe the unit with a clean, dry cloth. Never use cleaning fuid or similar chemicals. Do not spray cleanersdirectly on the unit or use orced air to remove dust.This product was qualied under test conditions that included the use o the supplied cables between systemcomponents. To be in compliance with regulations, the user must use these cables and install them properly.Connect the unit to a grounding type AC wall outlet using the power adapter supplied with the unit.Do not cover the device, or block the airfow to the device with any other objects. Keep the device away romexcessive heat and humidity and keep the device ree rom vibration and dust.Installation must at all times conorm to local regulations.

The VAP2500, like other radio devices, emit radio requency electromagnetic energy, but operate within theguidelines ound in radio requency saety standards and recommendations.

In some situations or environments, the use o wireless devices may be restricted by the proprietor o the building orresponsible representatives o the organization. For example, using wireless equipment in any environment wherethe risk o intererence to other devices or services is perceived or identied as harmul.I you are uncertain o the applicable policy or the use o wireless equipment in a specic organization orenvironment, you are encouraged to ask or authorization to use the device prior to turning on the equipment.The manuacturer is not responsible or any radio or television intererence caused by unauthorized modicationo the devices included with this product, or the substitution or attachment o connecting cables and equipmentother than specied by the manuacturer.
