Document Title: Block Joint vs Overlapping Joint. Prepared By: T.Siva Prepared Date: 5th October 2009
BLOCK JOINT
BLOCK JOINT
In order to joint, there is a 3mm copper bars 2 pcs each phase to overlap the phase bar of the bus duct
Our overlapping joint works as a male and female joint, where you just need to push right up to the stopper.
Make the bus duct inline and just need to push through until it reaches the stopper
The block joint has the certain allowances which allowed adjusting if there is any mistake in site measurement. After the adjustment, there will be bigger clearance between the bus ducts.
A consistent joint surface area is always achieved with the use of the stopper in the simple joint system, which provides an automatic guard guidance to ensure the installer does not push too far in or out
MULTI-B
The neck part of MF nut shall be broken at the fixed torque (The tightening torque become a little smaller at the moment the neck part is broken).
Due to the bigger clearance create an air gap, when the tightening happen the 3 mm copper will whap in the corner and it creates an air gap between the bars end up in big disasters.
The simple joint system and the Maintenance Free (MF) nut, pioneered by Hitachi Cable Ltd, has made life a lot easier for installation, something our competitor have not achieve. Once a joint has been completed according to our installation manual, it can be left there for the rest of the useful life of the bus duct.
