Food Resilience Village 
 
Program 
 (
FRVP 
) has been chosen as one of pilot model. This election was based on that suchactivity was targeted to reduce poverty as well as food insecurity in the community. Inaddition, the program was designed as an open activity for male and femaleparticipants. Therefore, the concept is very suitable for implementing gender mainstreaming in reducing and eradicating poverty, since women are particularlyvulnerable to poverty.FRVP has been implemented throughout Indonesia in the locations that have atendency to poverty and food insecurity, but there is potential to improve their welfarethrough community empowerment in managing and controlling their resources.Empowerment of the community through affinity groups (membership based on thesimilarity of vision, mission and goals) was aimed to overcome the problem of povertyand food insecurity. FRVP was developed over four years: 1) preparation stage, 2)growth stage, 3) development stage, 4) resilience stage. The program targets: thedevelopment of productive business activities, intended to increase the purchasingpower 
and improve community’
knowledge on food security and nutrition.FRVP four basic pillars of community development related to food security:Institutional strengthening, human resources capacities, introduction of appropriatetechnology, and appropriated funds to stimulate community work. This four pillars aim
to support community’ efforts to overcome all problems related
to food security. Activities related to gender perspectives in FRVP: (a) women's accessibility toscience/technology/informations, facilities and training/capacity building equal to men;(b) equal opportunities of men and women in affinity group members in participating inall activities in the program; (c) control over land resources and infrastructure equalbetween men and women; (d) obtaining equal benefits over the program between menand women.Implementation of Food Resilience Village Program In Indonesia have significantimpact to rural poverty reduction, and improving food and nutrition security.
