    Its high time for institution to implement 6th Pay Scales as per the UGC, CPC, Ministry of HRD (MHRD) directives. There are two pay bands PB-3 and PB-4 for teachers. Fixation is done through multiplier of 1.86 for PB-3 and tables issued by the Financial Ministry( revision of table 2.2.2 originally proposed by the Comittee) for PB-4. I have made an editable and modifiabe Excel Workbook for comparing the impact on gross salary from 5th pay scales. The complete file can be downloaded from http://www.wps.co.in/. This file contains all the references from the goverment websites

    Some important points


    Fixation for PB-3 is done by 1.86 multiplier
    Fixation for PB-4 is doen through the tables given by Fin Min
    DA, HRA, TA Acd. allowences have been calculated from the 6th CPC (for A1 cities only)
    Med., LTA and Cont. PF is done from the old practices
    I have not calculated for any other allowence.
    All the formulas have been clearly indicated so one can modify as per their need
    By entering old increments in 6th CPC (5th CPC will automatically updated) one can find the percentage increase in gross sala
    Formulas are also inplace to see the effects of increments on revised pay scale
