Adilce - This is a basic rule that applies to most schools, and ALL community colleges: Do not let everything rest on the phones. It's hard to get through, nobody is in the offices half the time, and you're lost in a sea of calls that they can "get around to" returning. Schools do not return calls. Period. Ever. You need to go down there in person so they are forced to deal with you. This is not j

Your registration system basically sucks. I have been trying to find out if a class will be open since two days ago and nobody answered the phones. When I try to look for the class on line, it never finds it. Then the very day when the class is supposed to start, finaly a woman answered the phone (713-7186725)saying that the class (GIS 1411) has been cancelled, because there were no students, and they are going to "move" all the students registered in Alief to Stafford. If more students did what I did, obviuosly no one could register. It sounds like is more convinient for HCC to teach courses at Stafford, so lets make it difficult for students at Alief to register. Thanks a lot! I am searching for the course at the UT or other college. Maybe they will treat me better. Adilce Flores June8.09
