Name: Consideration of a Resolution confirming the City's appointments to the Fort Ord
Reuse Authority (FORA) Board of Directors.
Description: The Fort Ord Reuse Authority (FORA) Board of Directors consists of 13 voting
members including three County members ofthe Board of Supervisors, as well as 10
representatives from the following eight Monterey County cities: Carmel-by-the-
Sea; Del Rey Oaks; Marina (two representatives); Monterey; Pacific Grove; Salinas;
Sand City and Seaside (two representatives).
Overall Cost: N/ A
Staff Recommendation:
Adopt Resolution confirming appointments.
Important Considerations:
Currently, Mayor Burnett serves as the City's representative to the Board with
Council Member Victoria Beach serving as the alternate representative. However,
the City Council wishes to appoint Council Member Beach as the City's primary
representative with Mayor Burnett serving as the City's alternate representative.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARMEL-BY 111E-8EA REAFFIRMING THE CITY'S APPOIJ.'-7MENTS TO
THE FORT ORD REUSE AuniORITY (FORA) BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, the Fort Ord Reuse Authority has 13 voting representatives on its Board of
Directors, who represent Monterey County and eight of its cities; and
WHEREAS, on May 1, 2012, the Cannel-by-the-Sea City Council ratified the
appointments of Mayor Jason Burnett to serve as the City's primary voting representative to the
Fort Ord Reuse Authority and Council Member Victoria Beach to serve as the City's alternate
representative.
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to ratify the appointment of Council Member
Victoria Beach to serve as the City's primary voting representative to the Fort Ord Reuse
Authority and Mayor Jason Burnett to serve as the City's alternate representative.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARMEL-BY-THE SEA DOES:
1. Reaffirm the appointments of Council Member Victoria Beach to be the City's
representative to the Fort Ord Reuse Authority and Mayor Burnett to serve as
the alternate representative.
