LEADearth Fellowship
 
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Tetra Pak India are proud to present ‘LEADearthSHIP’ –
ayouth program on leadership and business sustainability for undergraduate and post graduate studentsfrom recognized universities and institutions of higher learning in Delhi NCR and Pune.LEADearthSHIP aims to be the spring board for future youth leaders in India who would have their worldviews deeply rooted in sustainability, ethics and co-existence. It is based on the belief that young peopleof the country must be engaged in ideation, innovation and action that would ensure holisticdevelopment of the nation.Project Objectives
 
Prepare youth for leadership roles in their institutions, communities and cities to contribute to thesustainable growth of India
 
Educate and expose youth to local and global sustainable development issues
 
Facilitate understanding of innovation and cutting age sustainable practices by industry leaders
 
Impart knowledge on the triple bottom line (people, planet, profit) of business and enable
learning through the example of Tetra Pak’s sustainability initiatives, specifically recycling of used
Tetra Pak cartons
 
Develop competencies in young people to integrate sustainability in thought and practice in anyfield and vocationThe LEADearth Fellowship is the mainstay of the LEADearthSHIP programme. 30 students would beselected through a rigorous selection process from Delhi NCR and Pune.
Each applicant has toconceptualize a project/campaign idea which should go with his/her skills and expertise as well as withthe core issue of LEADearthSHIP.
Benefits of the LEADearth Fellowship Programme for students:
 
Opportunity for fellows to conceptualize, implement, lead and manage a sustainability project ontheir own
 
The fellows would work in groups of 3-4 which would teach them valuable lessons on team workand collaboration.
 
 
The fellows will get the opportunity to step out of the classroom into the real world andexperience sustainable practices in action.
 
Opportunity to intern at a TERI-Tetra Pak identified organization
How would LEADearth Fellowship work?
Selection of Fellows
 Application forms to be postedonline and sent to college
Shortlisted students to beinterviewed by TERI, Tetra Pak and an external expert
Orientation Programme
5 day orientation programme in Pune andMumbai
Fellows to be divided in groups of 3 or 4. Each group to have a multidisciplinary outlook.
Module to be developed covering issues of sustainable development, leadership, CSR, project management
Classroom sessions interspersed with visitsto Chakan, waste dump, waste collection points, experiments in sustainability,Deluxe recycling 
to understand the lifecycle of a Tetra Pak carton
Project Implementation
Fellows to finalize and implementtheir projects
Two 1 day workshops to be held ineach city to oversee the progress of the projects; have expert sessionsand provide a forum to the fellowsto collaborate
Project Documentationand Presentation
Fellows to document their projects in adigital as well as print format as prescribed by TERI and Tetra Pak
In order for the documentation processto be complete, each fellow would berequired to (a) Write a 3000 wordreport on the projects (b) Make a 5minute film on the project (c) Reachout to 500 people through talks and presentations.
Internship
Fellows would be expected to intern for amonth at a TERI-Tetra Pak identifiedorganization/school
Fellows could also identify an organizationof their choice to intern. However, approval from TERI would be mandatory for suchan arrangement.
Felicitation
Successful fellows presentedwith certificates uponcompletion of their internships
 
Instructions for filling up the application form1.
 
The form is to be filled in English2.
 
 All fields are compulsory, except wherever mentioned3.

Self-Description
’, please use ONLY the space provided in the form
 4.
 
Please attach a recent self attested photograph of yourself 5.
 
 All applicants must compulsorily send the consent form signed by their principals/ HODs along with the application form6.
 
The selected fellows will have to sincerely commit to the program and mandatorily attend allits activities throughout the year.7.
 
Orientation of selected fellows will be held in Pune. Delhi students will be responsible to booktheir own tickets and will be reimbursed an amount equivalent to 3AC train fare. All other expenses (other than that of personal nature) will be borne by TERI and Tetra Pak.

The selected fellows will have to pay a one time registration fee of INR 2500 (two thousand five hundred only).9.
 
Selected fellows would receive a certificate from TERI and Tetra Pak upon successfulcompletion of the entire fellowship program which includes the internship opportunity.
10.
 
No part of the responses to questions in the application form should be plagiarized / copied.Each application form will be thoroughly checked for originality.
