NOTE: WYSIWYG editors
Its best to use the WYSIWYG editor TinyMCE (Joomla! default) with ccNewsletter. Editorsmight want to make links you send to your subscribers relative, and thats not a good ideafor a newsletter. We have a work around in place for the editors, but you can also turn off the relative urls function. Upgrading from earlier ccNewsletter versions
Just uninstall your old ccNewsletter version and reinstall the new ccNewsletter version. Allinformation and subscribers/newsletters will be saved! But always check you preferences.
Upgrading from spsNewsletter
Just install the ccNewsletter component in your Joomla! website next to spsNewsletter asexplained in above. Check to see that ccNewsletter has copied all your subscribers,configuration details and newsletters. If so, just delete the old spsNewsletter componentand module, all information is now migrated to ccNewsletter.
You must configure ccNewsletter before use, or it will not function correctly.1.Login to your Joomla! 1.5 website and go to Components > ccNewsletter2.Click on the icon on the right "Parameters"3.Fill in all fields! Otherwise ccNewsletter will not work!4.Click save.5.If you have chosen to use the Acknowledgement function, go to Components >ccNewsletter > acknowledgement and fill in all fields if necessary.
About Batch Sending
When your are sending a newsletter to more then 2000/3000 subscribers, please edit theScript Timeout in the component parameters. Depending on the speed of the server, changethem to a maximum of 120.
