the redevelopment
area

1,501 acres
of
land.Theproposedredevelopment
area
isgenerallybounded
by N.

Boulevard

Glasgow Avenue to the

Palm Street

Branch
Street

Interstate 70to the

represents

opportunity

revitalize

blighted
areas
in
the
City of
St.
Louis

north side
of
the
City, in
which
theproposedredevelopment
area
is located, is
clearly
showing
itsage. Although
there
are
institutions,
businesses and residences
that should
clearly
be
preserved,
significantportionsof
theproposedredevelopment
area,
approximately
forty-four
percent
(44Vo),are
vacantlotsor contain vacant
structures.Such
vacant
propertyis
a
clear
reflection
of
an aged and
seriouslydeteriorating
buildingstock.
