Description

INSIGHT, My Experience During The Iraq Urban Conflict is my account about the good things we are doing along with the vices encountered within the 20 or so months I aided the Iraqi war effort as a soldier, and later as I work for a contractor in and around the killing slums of Iraq. Simply put, this read is An in-depth experience of the superior, shocking and repulsive events which occurred on my watch as I serve as an American fighting man, and later as a civilian contract manager during the Iraq war effort.

Part one of the narrative, Insight is an in-depth experience of the superior, shocking and repulsive events which occurred on my watch as I serve as an American fighting man during the Iraqi urban conflict. The narrative surmises my units' first night on patrol, as we were met with difficult challenges, due to a lack of terrain intelligence which places my patrol, as well as others in a compromising status, if the rebels should attack. This read enlightens the reader about the talent of the foe as they tested the newly posted infidels who were there to save them.

Part two is a compilation of the activities/experiences encountered as a civilian contract manager during the same (Iraq) war effort and begins with the reality of the lack of understanding and gratitude the civil sector espouses upon the soldier as he or she returns to the civilian environment, and is therefore referred to as "The Civilian Rat Race". Unable to find due employment sometimes thrust the ex-soldier back into the same killing business; however, he or she now receives better pay and a suitable change of clothes. It reveals that a seasoned fighting man must come to terms with the truth that he or she is not normal and seeking help from the Veterans' Administration may be a bit disappointing.
