Making his second Carolina League start after throwing four innings andallowing three hits, two runs and two walks against Potomac Thursday. Hestruck out five P-Nats.
 
Drafted by Texas in the first round this summer out of Oral Roberts, where he posted a 9-5 record with a 1.83 ERA, the 10th-best single-season mark in program history, last season. He threw 113.1 innings and struck out 126 batters,the third-highest single-season total in ORU history.
 
Made nine starts for short-season-A Spokane and went 0-4 with a 4.56 ERA.
 
Baltimore drafted him in the 11th round in 2010, but failed to sign him. Hethrows 90-94 mph fastball with natural cut and sink to both sides of the plate, achangeup and a slider. Also has a curveball in his arsenal.

BETEMIT REHABS IN FREDERICK 
: Baltimore DH Wilson Betemit began arehab assignment with Frederick Monday and went 1-for-5 with a single and twostrikeouts. He injured his right knee during spring training and has yet to play for theOrioles this season. Betemit hit .261 with 12 home runs, 19 doubles and 40 RBIs for the Orioles last season, his first with club, while primarily playing third base. He began his rehab assignment with the Gulf Coast League Orioles last week, playing infive games and batting .375 (6-for-16) with two doubles and three RBIs. Betemit is a10-year Major League veteran and has played for seven teams, beginning his career 
with Atlanta. Named the Braves’ top prospect after the
2000 and 2001 seasons,
Betemit played for Myrtle Beach in ‘01, slugging seven homers and driving in 43
runs while batting .277 with 20 doubles in 84 games.
HOME WRECKERS:
The Keys have lost nine of their last 12 games at HarryGrove Stadium.
They’re 8
