NerdBoyTV:
Hey @PinkBerryGirl, are ya in the house? <g>
PinkBerryGirl:
Yes I'm right here! Hello everyone who's tuning in.
NerdBoyTV:
Thanks for joining me this evening...funny thing is we kinda met over a "cup ofcoffee," huh? LOL
PinkBerryGirl:
Yes, except I still haven't had that McCafe Mocha that you promised me yet.
NerdBoyTV:
Hehe, after the show, after the show ;-)
PinkBerryGirl:
Haha OK, promises promises.
NerdBoyTV:
@PinkBerryGirl is the moderator and writer of the community websitededicated to Blackberry users calledhttp://www.Berrytastic.com.
NerdBoyTV:
Tell us about the site...what made you decide to do Berrytastic?
PinkBerryGirl:
It's a great website with lots of nice people who are passionate about whatelse...their BlackBerry!!
PinkBerryGirl:
I was found wandering around onCrackberry.comand was asked if I would beinterested in writing about my BlackBerry addiction.

PinkBerryGirl:
I had never done forums before but joining Berrytastic opened my eyes to howmany people you can meet and connect w/via BBM (Blackberry Messenger).
NerdBoyTV:
What do you find so addictive about the affectionately-named "Crackberry?"Why are people so passionate about them?
PinkBerryGirl:
It's so addicting because you can do so much with it. Talk, check emails, goonline, Twitter, IM's, Google Map. It's not just a phone.
PinkBerryGirl:
Your BlackBerry becomes an extension of you and how you communicate withthose around you; it keeps you in constant communication.
NerdBoyTV:
I have the Blackberry Curve 8300, and yes, I'm on it constantly especially nowthat you turned me onto UberTwitter <g>.
NerdBoyTV:
What do you say to people who criticize the constant use of the Blackberry? That blurring of the line between work and home time?
PinkBerryGirl:
Well I think it all depends on how you manage your time and you do have tofight the urge to be on your Blackberry 24/7.
PinkBerryGirl:
I've been trying to find ways to limit when I'm on Twitter and my Blackberrybecause it can take over and leave you no time for real people.
NerdBoyTV:
People tend to think they should be able to reach you at anytime because thetechnology is there...not always so great.
PinkBerryGirl:
Yes, I'm used to getting Blackberry messages at 3 or 4am and I've learned toignore them because I will answer them in the morning when I get up.
PinkBerryGirl:
All of my BBM friends are pretty good at knowing when to contact me, but thereare a few in other countries who don't know what time it is for me.
PinkBerryGirl:
I also will make myself unavailable when it gets too much for me, which it has inthe past. Do you use Blackberry Messenger a lot?
NerdBoyTV:
Somewhat...since my Blackberry comes from work, I tend to ignore it onweekends <g>. But, I do use a LOT w/ UberTwitter.

NerdBoyTV:
Now I know you're aware that the Blackberry is now the #1 best-sellingsmartphone even beating the iPhone...surprised?
PinkBerryGirl:
Actually, I'm not surprised at all because there's a lot you can do on yourBlackBerry that you can't do on an iPhone.
PinkBerryGirl:
However, I do think that the iPhone is a great phone and I still want one. Fornow, I still prefer the BlackBerry over the iPhone.
NerdBoyTV:
How important do you think the QWERTY keyboard is versus the populartouchscreen?
PinkBerryGirl:
Coming from owning a Pearl and a Curve, I thought having a QWERTYkeyboard would have been a must, but it really hasn’t been.
PinkBerryGirl:
I'm super fast on my Storm and iPod Touch, so I don't think you need akeyboard once you get used to the phone itself. You just have to give it enoughtime.
NerdBoyTV:
Even my 16-year-old daughter wants to move on from the T-Mobile Sidekick toa really nice Blackberry 8900.
PinkBerryGirl:
I'm seeing more and more teens using BlackBerry. They are asking for themnow instead of the other phones out there geared towards their demographics.
PinkBerryGirl:
So, I'm not surprised that your daughter wants to move from Sidekick toBlackBerry
PinkBerryGirl:
I think the 8900 would be a great BlackBerry for her to start with (and by theway I just got one on Friday and I love it)!
NerdBoyTV:
You’re so lucky <g>. What is your absolute FAVORITE app to use on theBlackberry?
PinkBerryGirl:
I would have to say SocialScope because I'm addicted to Twitter and it also hasFacebook integration that is great for doing both.
PinkBerryGirl:
I'm an app fiend and I'm always looking for the newest or latest app to try on myBlackBerry—but I've learned I can't have it all.
