Half a million Audi TT cars have been built. Audi is celebrating this production milestone for its compact sports car with an exclusive special edition model. Coup and Roadster versions of the 200 kW (272 hp) Audi TTS competition will begin rolling off the assembly line in October. Total production is limited to 500 units.
TheAudiTThaslongbeenadesignicon,andAudiissettingnewaccentswiththeTTScompetition.Itis availableexclusivelyinthespecialpaintfinishesImolayelloworNimbusgray,anditsexteriorcallingcardis afixedrearwingwithbarsinamattaluminumlookfinish.TheRoadsterstopisavailableineitherBlackor Gray.The19inchwheelsfeatureafivearmRotordesignandareshodwithbeefy225/35tires.

TheImpulseleatherpackageinsteelgraydominatestheinterioroftheTTScompetitionanduses characteristicleatherbandsasdecorativeelements.TheircutedgesaredyedImolayellow,andthissame shadeofyellowisusedforthecontrastingstitching.Aluminumbadgesonthedoortrimsembossedwith1 of500furtheraccentuatetheexclusivityofthespecialeditionmodel.

Aleathermultifunctionsteeringwheelwithamorestronglycontouredrimandtherearparkingsystemround outtheequipment.AllotherfeaturesfromxenonplusheadlightsandAudimagneticridedampercontrol systemtoaluminuminlayscorrespondtothealreadycomprehensivelistofstandardequipmentinthe TTS.TheTTScompetitionisalsoveryattractivefinancially.Theextrachargeforthecompetitionpackageis just1,900euros.

Withits200kW(272hp)and350Nm(258.15lbft)oftorque,the2.0TFSIenginedefinesthedynamic characteroftheAudiTTScompetition.PairedwiththesixspeedStronic,itacceleratestheCoupfrom0 to100km/h(62.14mph)in5.3seconds(5.5secondswithmanualtransmission).Averagefuelconsumption fortheCoupis7.7litersper100kilometers(30.55USmpg)withtheStronic,7.9litersper100kilometers (29.77USmpg)withthemanual.TheAudiTTScompetitionRoadsterwiththesixspeedStronicsprints from0to100km/h(62.14mph)in5.5seconds.Withthemanualtransmission,thissamesprinttakes5.7 seconds.TheRoadsterconsumes7.9litersoffuelper100kilometers(29.77USmpg)whenequippedwith theStronicand8.1litersper100kilometers(29.04USmpg)withthemanual.quattropermanentallwhile drivedeliversthepowertotheroadinallmodels,andtopspeediselectronicallylimitedto250km/h(155.34
