A patient of Albany Medical Center Hospital who had been committed to the hospital under the Mental Health and Hygiene Law walked away from hospital staff while at the Albany County Courthouse where he was scheduled to appear for a Mental Hygiene Hearing. George Siddon age 43, of Albany, New York was scheduled to appear before Hon. Eugene Devine Supreme Court Justice and was accompanied to the courthouse by hospital staff. Prior to the hearing, while outside the courtroom Siddon walked away from hospital staff undetected and fled the courthouse. Siddon is considered harmful to himself and does have medical issues which draw concern for his well being. The Sheriffs Office and area police agencies are actively looking for Siddon at this time. He is described as a white male, 511 approx. 215 lbs, last seen wearing grayish colored shorts (long length shorts) a dark colored tee shirt and sneakers.
