IMPORTANTThe BIOLan logo is used on the organic products for labelling only1.after concluding a licence agreement regarding the use of the logobetween the operator (BIOLan Licensee) and “BIOLan Ukraine“Association.2.After presentation of a valid BIOLan certificate issued by OrganicStandard Ltd (Inspection and Certification Agency) confirming thateach product to be labelled responds to the “Standards of OrganicAgricultural Production and Labelling of Agricultural Products andFoodstuffs, BioLan”3.After prior written approval by “BIOLan Ukraine“ Association regardingeach Logo (the original of each sample of a packaging using the BIOLanLogo has to be sent to “BIOLan Ukraine“ Association before printing)
1. The BIOLan Logo stands for
(1)Closed nutrition cycles at farm level: The whole farm isgrown organic (no parallel production).(2)“Ecozones” of at least 7 % of the farm’s surface andCrop Rotation.(3)Absence of Genetically Modified Organism (GMO).(4)Absence of chemical-synthetic pesticides andfertilizers.(5)Absence of unnecessary additives such as aromas andcolorants.(6)Smooth processing techniques.(7)Regular inspections along the whole supply chain(producer, processor) through the independentCertification Agency Organic Standard Ltd.
2. General Information and Graphic Charter
Harmonised BIOLan Standards since 2005.Label owner: “BIOLan Ukraine“ Association.The logo is used to identify the products producedaccording to “Standards of Organic Agricultural Productionand Labelling of Agricultural Products and Foodstuffs,BioLan”. The Standards are integrated part of this Manual.

The respect of the Ukrainian legislation is a precondition.The use of the logo serves to confer specific value tothe products. The most effective application of the logois therefore in colour, since it will thus have a greaterpresence and be recognised more easily and quickly bythe consumer.Any graphic design on packaging or labels must adhere tothe present Manual and be submitted to “BIOLan Ukraine“Association for prior approval.For questions of translation and interpretation, theUkrainian version constitutes the authentic text in thisManual.
3. The BIOLan Logo Identity Block
The BIOLan Logo identity is made up of three parts:(a)The typeface “BIOLan, Ukraine”.(b)The negative band “Organic Product”.(c)The “Apple”.The proportional relation between these componentsshould never vary.
