Las Vegas is situated on the arid desert; the surrounding environment isdominated by desert vegetation and wild life. The city is in a basin surrounded by dry mountains and the Spring Mountains lie to the west side of the city.City is at 2030 feet or 620 meters height from the sea level. Not much to discuss the climate of the city is desert climate, you can enjoythe abundant sunlight year-round and has more than 300 sunshine days everyyear, with very less rainfall. In summer temperature can go up to 38° C or 100° F and during winter it can dip to 0° C or 32° F. If you are visiting Vegasduring winters be cautious of snow fall, rare but possible during December.
