DAWN's Annual Champagne Brunch Fundraiser FeaturingSan Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris as the KeynoteSpeaker
SAN JOSE, CA, June 4, 2009:

(Democratic Activists for Women Now)
announced today that SanFrancisco District Attorney Kamala Harris will be the key note speaker at DAWN's AnnualChampagne Brunch Fundraiser on Sunday, June 7th at 11:00 a.m.
in San Jose.
Harris will be speakingabout her successes as District Attorney, the challenges and difficulties women face in the political world andher thoughts on the importance of more women holding elected offices.DAWN will also be honoring Assemblymember Joe Coto as a Greatly Enlighted Male (GEM) for hiswork to get women more politically involved and San Jose City Councilwoman Madison Nguyen asa Courageous Elected Official (CEO) for strength and courage during her recall election.The proceeds from the brunch are used to fund training program scholarships for Democratic womencandidates as well as providing money for women candidates seeking elected office. The cost is $50 per person and includes a brunch.
