There is a story about a manwho was very wealthy. One dayhe came to Jesus and askedHim how to receive eternal life(
Mark 10:17-22
). He had never stolen anything or murderedanyone. He honoured his father and mother and always told thetruth. Yet Jesus told him he stilllacked one thing…he needed tosell all of his possessions andfollow Him. The man had mademany good decisions in his lifeup until that point, but when heheard the Words of Jesuswalked away. He rejectedJesus and eternal life becausehe wanted to live a good lifewithout giving everything to God.Living the Christian life meansfar more than going to churchon Sunday, giving some moneyin the offering plate and notdoing certain things. Living theChristian life is all aboutconnecting with Jesus andallowing His life to live in you.
Galatians 2:20
says;
“I havebeen crucified with Christ, I nolonger live, but Christ liveswithin me.”
