.Since its founding in 1855 by dissident Whigs and Free-Soil Democrats, the NewYork State Republican Party has provided New Yorkers with leadership that helpedshape the Empire State
as the world’s cultural and financial capital. Now, as we
look forward with uncertainty to the twenty-
first century’s second decade, it is clear
that New York again needs a strong, competitive Republican Party to help lead ustoward a better future.
