So you want your employees to enter their own data? Saving time andreducing transposition errorsOstendo® has always had the ability to create your own screens – but theeffort required far outweighed the effort, as it required specialistknowledge of scripting and although functional the forms didn’t look veryattractive.Development-X has married the graphical editor for workflows with thescripting system to create Custom Data Screens.These new custom data screens have some great features for your use.Firstly the screens are created as a

series

of elements to lead the userthrough a process, capturing the data relevant. Secondly, they can beused on touch screens, thus allowing them to be valid in workshopenvironments and counter tops where keyboards and mice have a shortlifespan. Thirdly, they have an on-screen keyboard built in and can beused with barcode scanners.The custom screens can be called from Workflow items so that you canhave even MORE control over how your employees work with Ostendo

They can also be controlled by scripts to provide a full work processfunctionality that an untrained operator can then use.The opportunities for this type of process are numerous;
