The full Korean Immigration Control Act
The purpose of this Act is to stipulate the matters concerning the entry into and departure from the Republic of Korea (hereinafter referred to as Korea) of Koreans and
of foreigners in Korea, and the procedures for the recognition of refugee status.
2-2. The term "refugee" means a person to whom the "Convention relating to the Status of Refugees" applies, under Article 1 of the "Convention relating to the Status of Refugees" (hereinafter referred to as the "Refugee Convention") or Article 1 of the "Protocol relating to the Status of Refugees"
3. The term "passport" means a passport or a refugee travel document issued by the Korean government, a foreign government, or
international organization, or other types of travel documents
4. The term "seaman's identification certificate" means a document issued by the Korean government or a foreign government which certifies that the holder is a seaman
