But, I asked Peter my only friend who work at theRSL, I was tried (maybe he knows someone looking to). I rang him and he said why notyou? I said no I’m fine, my cousin is single and she’s going to 40 years old. So, Peter saidok, I have a friend he’s single and he want to have a children, perfect! That’s my cousinwanted. Meld wants to have a child too. Peter gave the landline number named Chris.Peter said to me you ring him, I said no, I’m going to give this number to my cousin toring him. Peter said no, pls. you ring him first, now. So I did but that was 9pm, answeringmachine answered me. I leaved the message saying my name my cousin’s name. But Iforgot to say the contact number. I rang again Peter saying I forgot to leave Meld’s phonenumber. Peter said no, call him again and give your mobile number. I said what!? Whymy number, just do it. So I did. The following day Chris rang me back, he introducedhimself and also me and I said my cousin looking for a partner. I feel comfortable talkingto him, very friendly voice and had an interesting story of his life and I gave the number of Meld. The following day or so he rang me again had a chat, I thing I said to Chris, whynot ring my cousin and start knowing each other. He did, and never heared again fromhim. But Meld told me that they going to meet each other for the first time. But, Meldwas wanted me to be there and introduce him to here, that silly! (I said) They talking eachother over the phone and she wants me to do that! Meld said to me. Because, that time Iwas staying to my friend Lormi, same suburb but 3 blocks away. And Melda said, if youare not coming I’m not going to meet him or tell him, busy. I said (WHAT!) That’s whatyou wanted, and why you doing this? Anyway, I tried to understand her. That’s aFilipina’s culture, and she followed it because she is still single and never beenmarried.So, I said YES, I’m coming.So Chris was earlier than me an hour or so, then it was happened was Meldaintroduced Chris to me, because I was late, SEE! And then, Chris invited Meld to have acoffee somewhere and Melda was wanted me again to come with them, oh my God… Icame again to them. I was hoping that she would not ask me to do it again.After two weeks or so, Meld rang me to tell me that Chris rang her to say therelationship was not going to work, that was what Melda told me and they agreed witheach other. But I was over reacted (man never do that to a lady) I said. But then I tried toask for Chris’s mobile number to ask what the problem was. And she didn’t give it to me,she deleted that’s what she said. After a day or a week Meld and I met again and sheshowed me the one of Chris’s text messages. I said, you have Chris’s number, she can’tdeny it. And she gave it to me. I rang Chris, but he didn’t answer the phone. But he rang me back. First word hesaid was, I going to say something for you……he was invited me to go out, sounds like adate and Chris said, please, don’t say no, please.
