This commitment is reflected in well-planned resettlement assistance, global emergency relief, rehabilitation and advocacy for refugees. The IRC started work in Thailand in 1976, Our mission is to assist Burmese refugees, migrants, and conflict-impacted populations to meet essential needs and contribute toward their transition to sustainable development by implementing strategic programs and building capacities of local institutions. Current programs and activities include protection and advocacy, institutional capacity building, primary health care, community eye care, water and sanitation, and food and relief supply distribution. This booklet, with funding from JP Morgan Chase, provides basic information on the rights of migrants in Thailand.
