While much is changing at General Motors these days withthe government bailout/bankruptcy filing, the company hasreconfirmed that the special vehicle discount for AGC mem-bers is still in effect. Just negotiate your best price with thedealer, identify yourself as an AGC member, and qualify for up to an additional $2,000 discount off the price of the vehi-cle
(discounts vary by type of vehicle).
In light of General Motors’ announcements early this week,General Motors has reached out to AGC of America to di-rectly reinforce its commitment to the AGC/GM discountprogram. Their message states in relevant part:

“GM intends to honor 2009 fleet agreements for orderedand out of stock purchases, including applicable incen-tive payments.

Our intent is to continue with vehicle production as out-lined in previously communicated schedules.

GM intends to honor its warranty commitments given atthe time of purchase to owners of current and future GMproducts.


 AGC of America was cited as one of the nation’s top lobbying operations by
The Hill 
newspaper, one of the widelyread periodicals targeting Congress and the advocacy community within Washington, DC.
AGC was singled out asthe only commercial construction association on this list because of our role in helping craft the federalstimulus legislation earlier this year.
While the article only lists the staff heads of each of the organizations, what the article is really acknowledging is thesuccessful role played by the broader Economic Stimulus team assembled at AGC.
