Noel N.O.W. Chair Pockets
(these pockets were designed to hang from the back of the chairs we use in ourContemporary worship service. They are designed to hold a pen, visitor /prayerrequest cards, etc. and can be easily removed so that the chairs can be stacked &stored)
 
For each pocketCut:
2 rectangles of blue denim 10.5” x 5.5 “2 rectangles of blue denim 13” x 5.5 1 rectangle of plastic needlepoint canvas 7.5” x 4.241 strip of Velcro, 4 long
Directions:
(I used white thread so that it would show up in pictures, butof course you would want to use thread that matches the fabric)1--With right sides together, sew the top & bottom of the smaller rectanglewith

” seams, leaving sides open.2--Turn right side out and press well.3--Fold the bottom up 4” and press again.
 
 4--Stitch a “Pen pocket” 2” from left side.5--Lay on top of the right side of one of the long pieces, having the bottomedge

” from the bottom of the long piece.6--Machine-baste raw edges in place.
 
7--With right sides together, lay other long piece on top and pin. Stitch

seam around both sides and bottom, leaving the top edge free.8--Trim corners. Turn right side out and press well.9--Top-stitch across bottom of pocket.
