23rd August 2013 CURRENT EXHIBITIONS Anne Frank A history for today Anne Frank and her family

y went into hiding from the Nazis in Amsterdam on 6th July 1942. On her thirteenth birthday Anne received a diary, in which she meticulously wrote what was happening around her and what she and her family had to endure. In August 1944 the hiding place was betrayed by an unknown person, and following her capture by the Nazis, Anne died aged 15 years, in Bergen-Belson.
