This catalog reflects the status of programs and policies of the Seminary and is effective as of January 2009. All new and re-entering students for the 2009 - 2010 academic years and following are bound by it.
NOTIFICATION 
 
The degree programs of study offered by New Life Theological Seminary have been declared
 
exempt from the requirements for licensure under provisions of North Carolina General Statutes Section (F.S.) 116-15(d) for exemption from licensure with respectto religious education . . . . Exemption from licensure is not based upon any assessment of program quality under establishedlicensing standards.
RECOGNITION AND ACCREDITATION

) having been awarded AccreditedStatus as a Category III Institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on November 4, 2008; this status iseffective for a period of five years. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE), theCouncil for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies inHigher Education (INQAAHE).

NLTS is approved by the United States Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services.

NLTS is approved by the United States Department of Education for participation in Federal Student Financial AidPrograms.

NLTS is approved by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
•
NLTS is approved by the North Carolina State Approving Agency, allowing qualifying veterans to receive benefits.

NLTS is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
