WHO IS SWAMI RAM?- SWAMIJI ANSWERS HIMSELF….
SWAMI RAM DESCRIBES HIS EXPERIENCESAfter reading Gary Zukav’s book “ The Dancing Wail Masters over 20 years ago while attending University, I realized that as a Hindu , I wasborn into a culture that has the gift of being able to answer all thequestions about my existence in this Universe. It dawned on me that I hada unique advantage here. I was gifted with the opportunity of having aview of both the Eastern Sciences and the Western Sciences. After readingGary’s book, I as impressed with his comparison of the QuantumPrinciples with the Hindu Gods I was used to seeing my parents pray to intheir home. Since then like an itch, it constantly urged me to investigatethis comparison and soon it became almost an obsession to analyze moreand more of this amazing relationship between Western Physics andHinduism. . After coming across an impressive book called “The self awareUniverse “by Dr. Amit Goswami. I was inspired by his findings and havedecided to write this book for the benefit of all those who have a problem with Quantum Theory and principles. Dr Goswami has come very close tothe truth about the Universe and I hope I will be able to help him in any way I can, to measure Consciousness somewhat. Well, if he could, then what? The answer is mind-boggling. Does God really want that?As a child, I listened to the teachings of the two famous VEDICepics, the Ramayana and the Bhagavad-Gita and tried to read anyliterature about Vedic philosophy on which I could lay his hands. In myearly twenties, I emigrated to the United States of America and commencedstudies in the Science of Physics at the City College of New York StateUniversity. Through the works of scientists such as Fritjof Capra and writings such as The Dancing Wu Li Masters, I began to make the linkbetween the Physical Sciences and the Vedic Scriptures. I began to see the
 
relationship between the dancing atomic particles and the dancingNataraja, a dancing form of the Hindu god know as Shiva. I began to seethe relationship between the seven visible colours in sunlight that wasdiscovered by Sir Isaac Newton and the illustration of the Hindu GodSURYA , the sun god , a picture that indicated seven horses as the sevencolors of white light that was known as “The chariot of the Sun God”, apicture which is thousands of years old. I also saw the relationshipbetween the Hindu Planetary Gods known NAV - GRAHAS and theplanetary discoveries by Galileo, Newton, Herschel, and other scientists. The NINE planets are found thousands of years in the Vedic Scriptures,long before these scientists were even born. I was curious as to whyEinstein worked closely with Dr. Chandra Bose in the development of therelativity theory that led to discovery of the Atomic Bomb and the formulaE=MC² which in our Hinduism is the marriage between Lord Vishnu andGoddess Laxmi to form LAXMINARYAN or Material Energy, the same asthe formula E=MC² or Energy is equal to Mass (Vishnu) times Light (Laxmi)squared. Credits have been given fully to Albert Einstein but not to Dr.Bose since then for this important discovery. Einstein himself studied theancient Vedic Texts as he mentioned it in his biography.Intrigued with this connection between what was written in theVedic scriptures thousands of years ago and the confirmation of whatmodern scientists are now finding. Many years passed after mygraduation. I could never find work as a physicist and worked as anaccount at Bankers Trust Company. Even though involved in a career inaccounting to earn support my self through college as Einstein did in hislife, I never gave up my investigation of the amazing relationship betweenthe Eastern Science and the Physics of the West. I continued with mydedication. After opening my own accounting business in 1983, I madeenough income to support myself as well as to start my detail research intothis study.
 
After hearing about Swami Muktananda and the Siddha MeditationFoundation, I was introduced to the organization by a Hindu Priest friendof mine to the teachings of Gurumayi Chivilasananda. After completingstarting my courses with the SYDA foundation in 1989, I left theprestigious learning environment of the world renowned universities and joined the simple life of the yogis amidst natural settings at the SiddhaMeditation Ashram in the Catskill Mountains. There I pursued a rigorousdiscipline of learning, teachings from Gurumayi’s intensive meditationcourses, devotional service and spiritual development. I was amazed at theunique way in which Swami Muktananda explained the universe usingEastern and Western philosophy. I accepted Gurumayi as my Teacher forLife, She sometimes blessed me and would often call me a ‘Pujari” ( One who performs scientific experiments in his prayer to God) Soon I wasqualified to make the journey to the sacred site of Gurudev Siddhapeet -the Siddha Ashram in Ganeshpuri in India - where I continued myrigorous prayers and Meditation (sadhana). Through the divine grace of my Guru Gurumayi Chivilasananda, Ipursued my spiritual path to eventually reach the state of enlightenment which qualified me to be ordained as a Swami. I was given the ochre robeto wear as of 1995. This orange colored robe of the teacher symbolizes thehumility and the simplicity of the Swami’s life. A Swami is considered aMaster of Knowledge in Hinduism. He helps to guide others so that theirdistress can be alleviated and they can learn to live a better life that willcontribute positively to the world, making it a happier world. I wasofficially christened by my Guru Pundit Imrit Sharma of Ocala as SwamiRam Charran in 1996.After being initiated as a member in various Hindu Temples andOrganization in the Hindu community, and being officially recognized bythe Pundit’s Parishad , the Council of Hindu Temples in New York and theHindu Society of America in Miami. I decided to open my Swami practice inthe Vedic Astrological Science known as JYOTISH YOGA. Here is where I
