DISCUSSION

The Bridge Set is a valuable resource to the region. Due to its monetary value and the potential financial impact that it could impose upon the region, the Bridge Set requires proper administration due to the sizable asset that it is.

ADMINISTRATION

Two bodies shall govern the administration of the Bridge Set. The normal day-to-dayadministration of the Bridge Set shall be the responsibility of the Bridge Set Committee.However, due to the fact that the Bridge Set is a monetary asset owned by the region andmay require funding by the region, the Captains Board will approve all financialdecisions regarding the Bridge Set.

BRIDGE SET COMMITTEE

The Bridge Set Committee shall be composed of three individuals.Regional Coordinator Since the Regional Coordinator is ultimately responsible to STARFLEET for thefinancial aspects of the region, the Regional Coordinator shall be one of the members of the Bridge Set Committee.Regional RDC Officer As the Officer in charge of the regional RDC program, the RDC Officer will also serve asa member of the Bridge Set Committee. He or she will be the individual responsible tothe committee for all technical aspects of the bridge set.Bridge Set CustodianThe Bridge Set Custodian is the final member of the Bridge Set Committee. He or shewill be the individual responsible for the safety and storage of the Bridge Set. TheBridge Set Custodian will be nominated by the Regional Coordinator, and approved bythe Captains Board.

BRIDGE SET CARE, UPKEEP AND MODIFICATION

Care for the Bridge Set is the responsibility of the Bridge Set Committee. The Bridge SetCommittee will periodically inspect the Bridge Set and report on its health to theCaptains Board, on a periodic basis, not to exceed one year. As a result of theseinspections, the Bridge Set Committee will also make recommendations to the CaptainsBoard on any required upkeep items, in particular, the items necessary and their approximate cost.Any member of the region may propose modification to the Bridge Set. Therecommendations are made to the Bridge Set Committee. If the modification bears merit,as determined by the Bridge Set Committee, the Regional RDC Officer and the respectivedepartment that encompasses the change to ensure consistency with existing Star Trek and STARFLEET norms then review the modification. Once the proposed modificationis prepared, it and the expected cost of the modification is then presented for approval tothe Captains Board.
