Mr. Eli Putterman in YU's Kol haMevaser 2:7 lists the oft-repeated questions raised against Modern Orthodoxy, but provides no answers of his own.
My introductory paragraph:
I thank Mr. Eli Putterman for his insightful piece, "The Theological Concessions of Modern Orthodoxy", in Kol haMevaser 2:7. He raises many penetrating questions, questions which certainly deserve much
consideration; this response is my attempt thereat. If his goal was to get readers to examine their own beliefs, then certainly, he has succeeded by me. I am especially concerned by the fact that, "It is precisely the uncomfortable truths of the Modern Orthodox hashkafah that, unpalatable to
the idealistic youngster, particularly if his or her teachers have not honestly engaged these issues, are apt to lead to tergiversation." The following is “one man's Judaism”, one individual's proud, unabashed, and unwavering personal justification of Modern Orthodoxy.
