Mah Jong Cards
version 3.0 (Canton 3d)by Gareth J M Saunders
Why Mah Jong Cards? While traditional Mah Jong tile sets are heavy, and therefore not the mostportable, you can quite conceivably take a pack of Mah Jong cards anywhere. The Mah Jong SetThis file contains enough cards to produce a full 144 card set, includingseasons, flowers and an extra 8 jokers.Font UsedI have used, in this version, the commercial Canton and Canton 3D true-typefonts from www.partae.com (US$49) which produces a clean, simple anduniversal design.Colour SchemeI have adopted the following colour scheme for cards, which keeps with thetraditional association between the suits and dragons (with thanks to TomSloper):Bamboo — GreenDots — Black Characters — Red Winds — BlueDragons — As DragonSeasons — Black Jokers — BrownPrintingUse thick card. If the card image shows through the card you can print adisruptive backing image on the reverse side of the card before cutting. Anappropriate image is available in PDF format on my website. To produce a full set of 144 cards please print pages 2-5 (Bamboos; Dots;Characters; Winds, Dragons and Jokers) four times each. You need only printthe Seasons and Flowers once. These cards are copyright © 2001-2003 Potting Shed Designs / Gareth J.M.
