Using the Detox Shake on a Daily Basis
Functional Detoxification is the art and science of reducing stressful toxins by avoidingexposure and enhancing elimination (internal housekeeping). No health strengtheningplan (“in with the good”) is complete without detox (“out with the bad”). The DetoxShake is a simple way to get started.Functional Detoxification includes replacing processed foods with “super-foods”, like theDetox Shake, that can provide essential nutrients, as well as, enhance the elimination of stressful toxins that would otherwise interfere with healthy function. Simply by replacingthe usual and sometimes “toxic” breakfast with a nutritious and tasty Detox Shake youwill support your body’s detoxification & elimination systems. This limited version of theFunctional Detoxification Program is a great way to start each day, or to take once aweek on your “detox day”. Substitute the versatile Detox Shake for any meal when youare on the run or to make a healthy diet change easily.
Ingredients To Make One Serving of a Detox Meal Replacement Shake:
1 – 2 scoops
Powdered Detoxification Formula
1 scoop
Whey Protein
1 ½ - 2 cupsWater, rice milk, nut milk
1 2 Tbsp.Ground Flax seeds
½ 1 cupOrganic fruit - fresh or frozen (examples: berries, peaches,plums, pears)
1 – 3 tsp.
Liquid Essential Fatty Acids
1 2 tsp.Liquid Lecithin (or 2 Tbsp. granular)
¼ tsp.
Powdered Probiotics
Optional Ingredients:
½ 1 tsp.
Raw honey, agave syrup, maple syrup, or organic unsulfured black strap molasses
1 scoop
Powdered greens
½ tsp.
1 – 2 tbsp.
Toasted wheat germ and/or Oat bran
1.Blend all ingredients together.
Let sit for a few minutes and then blend again, adding more of the liquid to achievedesired consistency.3.If you are saving it for later, keep it refrigerated and mix your shake prior to pouring.4.Make minor changes in the above recipe as desired to create a meal that you willenjoy.
 1.Begin with 1 serving per day as a breakfast meal replacement shake.2.After two weeks you may add another serving as a lunch meal replacement shake.3.It is also important to have multiple servings of raw and cooked non-starchyvegetables, like salads and stir fry or steamed veggies on a daily basis.
