Manessah Message: Prophetic Parable and Shadow Picture

We are going to look at the story of Manasseh, who

was king in Jerusalem. It is not just the story of a man: it is the story of a people, a tribe, and a nation. A tribe call Manasseh.

And Yahweh spoke to

Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen. Therefore Yahweh brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon. 2 Chron 33:10-11

Manasseh DID repent!

In his distress he sought the favor of Yahweh his

Elohim and humbled himself GREATLY before the Elohim of his fathers. And when he prayed to him, Yahweh was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom.And Manassah knew that Yahweh was Elohim. 2 Chronicles 33:12-13

Manasseh repented: but the nation did NOT

And he built the altar of Yahweh, and sacrificed peace

offerings and thank offerings and commanded Judah to serve Yahweh Elohim of Israel. But the people sacrifice were STILL sacrificing on the high places, though only to Yahweh their Elohim. 2 Chronicles 33: 16-17

The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who

REPENT of their sins declares Yahweh. Isaiah 59:20

Guard yourself, lest you

make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be a snare in your midst. But break down their altars, smash their pillars, and cut down their groves (Asherim). Exodus 34: 12-13

A Double Portion
Instead of their shame My people will receive a

DOUBLE PORTION And instead of disgrace They will rejoice in their inheritance; And so they will inherit a DOUBLE PORTION in their land, And everlasting joy will be theirs. Isaiah 61:7
