eCommerce is defined as the buying and selling of goods on the internet.
FACT:
Everyday more people are finding it acceptable to purchase goods and services onthe internet. Regardless of the current recession, the internet is still growing at analarming rate. Building your own eCommerce business is a highly profitable online business venture.You can produce your own goods or services. You can buy wholesale products,reselling them for huge profits. You can have your products drop shipped,completely eliminating the need to stock and ship products yourself.Whichever route you decide is right for you, there are a few basic components youwill need to create a successful eCommerce business of your own.
1.
You need distributors to supply your products or services.
2.
You need a website to host your products or services.
3.
You need to market and/or advertise your eCommerce business.
Do not look at these tasks as complex and overwhelming. First, find exactly whatyou will be selling. As you know, the possibilities here are virtually limitless. Youcould produce your own goods. For example, if you have specific craftsman skillsin woodworking, basket weaving or knitting, then you already have an original product for sale. For most of us however, we will be searching for existing products to offer our customers. Whether you would like to purchase your productsin bulk wholesale or have them drop shipped directly to your customer is entirelyup to you. Let's take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of both methods.
