PRAYER AND PRAISE

Praise the Lord for the ministry start up at West Harbour Gardens. Please pray that the Lord would powerfully work both in and through those who serve in this ministry. Praise the Lord for the many people who are stepping forward to minister to our kids in the Childrens ministry. Again, please pray that the Lord would minister in them and through them, and that Dianne McGowan would lead well. Please pray that the Lord would show the Elders how we can effectively pursue transformational discipleship at WHAC. Please pray that our people would respond to the Lords call to take up various leadership positions in the churchs upcoming AGM. Please pray for the Nanjans as Naren is away for another several months. Pray for safety and support as Valasi manages the home alone. Praise God for a successful five-day outreach in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Pray that God will raise up more workers in this area, where there is deep spiritual hunger. Also, pray for the training of leaders in the Samarinda youth ministry

Are you new to this facility?

We know that it can take a lot of energy to attend a new church, so please note that:
The toilets are located down the passage to the right as you exit the sanctuary. The Preschool ministry begins at the start of the service in the foyer, and 3-13 year olds are dismissed part way through the service for Sunday School. Information on who we are, as well as on all of our ministries are available online at www.whac.net.nz Each week, we share a cuppa together after the service, and would love for you to stay for a chat.

MINISTRIES FOR CHILDREN AT WHAC
Ages 0-2 We have a supervised creche fortnightly in the north side of the foyer. Parents are welcome to either drop their kids off, or stay with them. On un-staffed weeks, facilities will be provided, but parents will need to supervise their own children. Our Kids Club is divided into two groups, for age appropriate lessons. These take place in the hall during the sermon. A notice will appear on the screen when it is time to dismiss your children. If you have a flair for presentation and a talent with the computer, we are looking for someone to take over producing our newsletter. If you are interested please see Pastor Matt. Ironic as it may appear, one of the hardest things to do is to be saved by grace. Theres something in us that reacts to Gods free gift. We have some weird compulsion to create laws, systems, and regulations that will make us worthy of our gift.

Why do we do that? The only reason I can figure Ages is pride. To accept grace means to accept its Our annual meeting of the membership will take place on 29 8 - 13 September, at the church from 7:00 pm. Why do you think people have a hard time accepting grace? It might be insightful to talk about that among family and friends.
