National Cave Rescue Commission’sOrientation to Cave Rescue

Hosted by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Cave and Technical Rescue Team, this two-dayOrientation to Cave Rescue course introduces students to:
Cave rescue practices and the caving environment
Basic incident command and support functions
Communications
Medical considerations
Patient packaging
Advanced litter teamwork, and more.Day two concludes with an in-cave mock rescue. This course does
not
cover vertical ropetechniques or surface search and rescue.
Course begins Saturday at 0800 and will becompleted by 1500 on Sunday.
