THE QURAN HAS NO ERRORS!HEAVENS AND EARTH CREATED IN SIXDAYS AND NOT EIGHT DAYS
Question:
The Qur’an mentions in several places that the heavens and theearth were created in 6 days but in Surah Fussilat it says that theheavens and the earth were created in 8 days. Isn’t this acontradiction?The same verse also says that the earth was created in 6 days andthen later on the heavens were created in 2 days. This is against theBig-Bang theory that the heavens and the earth were createdsimultaneously.

The Qur’an says that the heavens and the earth were created in 6days i.e. 6 epochs and it is mentioned inSurah Al A’raf chapter 7 verse 54Surah Yunus chapter 10 verse 3Surah Hud chapter 11 verse 7Surah Al Furqan chapter 25 verse 59Surah Al Sajdah chapter 32 verse 4Surah Qaf chapter 50 verse 38Surah Al Hadid chapter 57 verse 4But people allege that Quran (41:9-12) says its 8 days! Lets read andthen I’ll explain the reason for the confusion!
Say: Is it that yeDeny Him Who createdThe earth in two Days?And do ye join equals
 
With Him? He isThe Lord of (all)The Worlds.He set on the (earth),Mountains standing firm,High above it,And bestowed blessings onThe earth, and measured thereinIts sustenanceIn four Days.Alike for (All) who ask.Moreover He comprehended inHis design the sky,And it had been (as) smoke:He said to itAnd to the earth:“Come ye together,Willingly or unwillingly.”They said: “We do come(Together), in willing obedience.”So He completed themAs seven firmamentsIn two Days, and HeAssigned to each heavenIts duty and command.And We adornedThe lower heavenWith lights, and (provided it)With guard. SuchIs the Decree of (Him)The Exalted in Might,Full of knowledge.

If you analyse these verses carefully, it speaks about 2 differentcreations: the earth and the heaven. The earth excluding themountains was created in 2 days and the mountains were set on theearth standing firm and blessed and measured its sustenance in 4days. Therefore the earth along with the mountains was created in 6days according to verse 9 and 10. Verse 11 and 12 says,simultaneously the heavens were created in 2 days. The Arabic wordused in the beginning of verse 11 of Surah Fussilat is
summa
whichmeans; ‘then’ or ‘moreover’ or ‘simultaneously’.
Why the confusion?
The Arabic word “summa” has 3 meanings!

SimultaneouslySome translations of The Quran translate the Arabic word “summa”as then!If ‘then’ is wrongly used for 
summa
then the total of the creation of heaven and earth will be 8 days which will conflict with other versesof the Qur’an which says heavens and earth were created in 6 daysand will also conflict with the Big Bang Theory as well as the verse of the Qur’an Surah Al Ambiya chapter 21 verse 30 which says thatheavens and the earth were created simultaneously.Therefore the correct translation of the word
summa
in this versewould be ‘moreover’. Abdullah Yusuf Ali has rightly translated theword
summa
or moreover which clearly gives an indication that whilethe earth along with the mountains, etc. was created in 6 dayssimultaneously the heavens were created in 2 days. Therefore thetotal does not come to 8 days but 6 days.
For example
I say that I built my house and garden in 6 days!

The Universe is 13.7 Billion years old and the Earth is 4.6 billion years old.However, according to this authenticated Hadith, the Earth was created before the rest of the Universe.

The Earth was created at the same time as heavens. The "Earth" refered to in 41:9-12 does NOT refer to everything been made on the Earth, which is why the Hadith speaks ONLY about the creation of the things ON the Earth, which took 7 days. This doesn't contradict science at all, so nice try, fake Doctor.

Where does the Hadith say that the Earth was created BEFORE the universe? NO-WHERE does it say. This Hadith talks about things created on Earth, like clay, mountains, tree, etc. after the initial creation of the Earth, which is SEPARATE with the 6 "aeons" mentioned in Quran.

NO-WHERE in that Hadith is the word "universe" used. The Arabic word for universe/heavens is "sama," which is NOT there. Your putting words into the Hadith which don't belong there

Sahih Muslim Book 039, Number 6707: “Abu Haraira reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) took hold of my hands and said: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created the clay on Saturday and He created the mountains on Sunday and He created the trees on Monday and He created the things entailing labour on Tuesday

I notice that this article subscribes to the "Day-Age" Theory and tries to make out that the Days of Creation in the Koran were not literal 12 hour days. However, this was not Mohammeds interpretation according to the Hadith.He thought that the days were literal days and not longer periods.
