SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS
T
he Santa Fe College Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to students graduating from Alachua and Bradford counties and all other students entering SFC. Eligibility requirementsvary depending on the degree of study and the scholarships selected. Foundation scholarships
are based on scholastic achievement, special talent or nancial aid, depending on the specicscholarship criteria. Scholarships are considered part of the student’s nancial aid package andmust be reported to the Financial Aid ofce.
Students may apply for a maximum of three (3) scholarships as long as they meet the establishedcriteria. Scholarship applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA unless otherwise noted onthe scholarship announcement. An academic transcript must be attached to the applicationform. If college GPA is unavailable, high school transcripts must be provided. Completedapplications may either be mailed, hand delivered to one of the campus locations, or submitted
from the college Web site www.sfcc.edu/scholarships.
INCOMPLETE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PACKETS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
Applications are available on Santa Fe’s Web site and at Alachua and Bradford county high
schools. Scholarship awards vary from $1,000 to $1,600 per academic year payable during thefall and spring terms. Scholarship recipients must meet all scholarship requirements to receive
the scholarship award. Student must be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit

information, responsibilities, and the criteria for that scholarship award. The Santa Fe College
Foundation Scholarship Committee reserves the right to make nal scholarship decisions.

1. Students must apply for admission to the college. Any student new to SFC should
begin at the Welcome Center in R-112. Upon acceptance, students receive an

canceled. For questions or help, contact the Ofce for Development, RAB-207,

classes. Any balance owed must be paid at the cashier’s window, RAB-52, by the
published deadline; otherwise the courses will be dropped. If there is a balance
remaining after fees are deducted, a balance check will be mailed to the addresson le with the Records and Admissions ofce. Checks will not be mailed tostudents who owe an obligation to the college or have a nancial aid hold on
their records.Students will be monitored for a cumulative minimum required GPA, completed credits/hours,and time frame at the end of every term. Satisfactory academic progress is required for the awardto remain intact for the next term. Students who complete zero credits/hours will be deniedfurther aid. A student who is selected for a scholarship and will not meet the required enrollment
