REVIEW OF THE ACADEMIC PRIORITIES
 The Board discussed the academic priorities and the need to change, delete, or add to thesepriorities that drive the strategic plan of the school system. There was a general consensusthat the system had achieved the early childhood initiative, and whether that priority shouldencompass all levels of instruction or focus on middle school reform. It was decided that thepriorities should stand with rewording, including technology and student achievement. Theacademic priorities were referred to the Strategic Planning Committee for review andrecommendations for Board discussion and adoption.Re:
