In answer to the question implied in "It will be up to you, the reader, to determine what is analogy, metaphor or allegory within these essays." Language is either words that are obviously metaphoric or words that we have become so comfortable with that we have forgotten that they are metaphoric. What underlies our metaphors? My theory is that it's metaphors all the way down.
